Hi Scott, :rotfl: I think I must be food obsessed, sorry. :rotfl:

I've been a bit lazy with surveys recently, need to try & do some more. Have been checking PA & doing the odd p!necone survey when they appear. About 900 points off cashing out on Yougov which will be a handy £50 but that will probably take a while!

Looks like my beetroot, radish & courgette seeds are germinating but no luck so far with the cucumbers. Hoping they're just being a bit slow. The weather is still all over the place, some lovely sunny days but the air is still freezing cold. Got a full washing out & dried the other day though. :j The clothes smell lovely when they've been out on the line & DS had fun running in and out of the washing. :rotfl:

DH is on his last day of work today for 3 weeks or so, he has annual leave and has used some lieu days. I only have 3 shifts then I'm also on annual leave - working 2 in a row starting tomorrow then off for a week before working the last one (using lieu days in between).

Glad DH will be off as he's been very tired & grumpy due to his shifts recently. We have a few things to sort out around the house & garden and want to take DS on a few days out.

There is a farm/petting zoo place not too far away that has loads of play areas as well as animals and I think DS will love it. We also need to take him swimming as I think he would enjoy it & I'm hoping it's something DH can do with DS so they can spend time together without me. DS is a bit of a mummy's boy at the moment & poor DH feels a bit left out at times. :o

Had my friends up visiting the other day with their kids, a 7yo, a 2yo & a 7 week old. DS just stuck to me like glue most of the time & watched the 2yo play with all his toys. There was a tussle over the Iggle Piggle doll though as DS loves it & he wasn't happy at my friend's DS playing with it.

The 7yo was quite funny as he was mystified at the toddler behaviour. :rotfl: He petted my old cat who took a liking to him but big cat was no way coming down from his cat tree with more than one toddler about. :rotfl: My friend's 2yo is used to dogs so was screaming & overexcited about seeing the cats who obviously ran away!

Looks like the outlaws may be visiting end of the month/start of May for a few days. MIL was complaining that they can't make their social plans because they don't have a date to come & visit us. How shocking that they can't arrange visits with all their other retired friends due to us actually having to work!

She also keeps asking if DS is toilet trained yet - he's not even 2 until June! He's nowhere near ready imo, not that I'm an expert or anything but this seems to be her new stupid obsession & will no doubt get questioned over it constantly when they visit.

Have had a boring day just doing housework, hoovered the whole house & did some dusting and tidying upstairs but that's about it.

I’m so annoyed with my DH right now, he’s just been so selfish and doesn’t even seem bothered at how he’s made me feel.

Apparently it’s not enough that he’s getting to F off for 3 (3!) sodding days on his own to visit his friend but he *has* to leave at half 7 on a Sunday morning before DS is awake & after I’ve worked 2 late shifts. Apparently it’s to “beat the traffic” but there was no discussion with me about it (as obviously I would have wanted him to leave later so he could actually spend some time with me & his son before he left for 3 bloody days).

So when I said this and asked when do I ever get to F off on my own for 3 days (clue: never) he said “Oh I’ll watch him any time you want to go out” That’s not the point! Apart from the fact pretty much all of my friends have children too & can’t just swan off for 3 days.

I even cried because I’m so tired and have 3 full days on my own with DS on top of all the housework. I probably won’t see anyone because they’re all at work & this is after DH working 7 days when I was pretty much on my own with DS again.

He didn’t even bother, just shrugged & left! For 3 days. I’m so angry & he’s not even interested. Oh yeah the best bit was “I’ll FaceTime you both later” Oh wow really, that’s so good of you.

Still pretty annoyed at DH. Feeling really drained as he woke me up clattering about at half 6 and I was upset at his selfishness after talking to him and couldn't get back to sleep properly.

Most of the time he's pretty good but just does stupid things that are so thoughtless.

Have cleaned the bathrooms, cleaned out the litter trays (DH now owes me about 3 weeks worth of this as we usually take turns to do the big clean every week & he hasn't done it the last 3 times because he "forgets" and I have to nag him like I'm his mum to get him to do it) put a washing on & will hopefully be able to hang it out and get another washing done.

Want to go through my duvet sets & tidy them up/possibly relegate a set to the guest room bed. Like the idea of folding the duvet sets up inside one of the pillowcases to keep everything together & tidy.

Need to go through DS's old clothes & see if there are any I can put in the charity bag. Have had 2 through the door for collection on Tuesday so would be good if I could get at least a bags worth decluttered out of the house.

A couple of courgette seedlings have popped up so need to pot them on. Think my chilli seedlings have stunted as they don't seem to be getting any bigger. :(

So I did a bit of decluttering but didn't get the charity bag out, will do it next time I get one through the door, we usually get them once every week or two.

Managed to sort out my duvet sets & fold each one into a pillowcase of the set. I realised how rubbish I am at folding though as it took a few attempts to get the fitted sheets & duvet covers folded to the right size. :o DS was rolling about in the loose sheets though & kept getting stuck. :rotfl:

The folded sets look so much neater in the ottoman at the end of the bed. I used some am@zon vouchers from surveys to buy a new fitted sheet & plain pillowcases to go with a new duvet set I'd bought as well. Just got white as the duvet set is yellow & white.

I took DS to the big park yesterday & he was walking about on his reigns saying hiya to all the dog walkers. :) He loves dogs. :D We fed the swans and ducks peas and sweetcorn which they seemed to enjoy. They were all following us round the pond hoping for more. :D

The trouble started when DS wanted to go the opposite way to where we were headed. Queue lots of screaming/rolling on the ground & refusing to walk. I had to carry/drag him halfway round to get back towards the car. He was absolutely determined he wanted to go in the opposite direction. I was exhausted as he was a dead weight! Had to stop every so often & just let him roll around on the ground whilst people walked by. :o He's discovered he can say no - I'm not sure I like him getting a mind of his own. :rotfl:

DH is obviously feeling guilty & has decided to come home a day early. :rotfl: He said he's missing DS too much.

Have been rubbish at updating again, currently on annual leave & DH also off, although he gets a week extra than I do.

Taking DS to CBeebies land next week, just booked a £29 hotel room for one night so we have the full day there the next day. The tickets are crazily expensive but we bought one parent & toddler ticket which was £25 and DH got another adult ticket for £28 through one of our work benefit schemes. The price for one adult buying online in advance was £41! or £56 on the day.

Hopefully DS will enjoy himself as it's not exactly cheap, especially adding on fuel, hotel room & food on top. Oh well it's a change of scenery. :)

The outlaws are visiting next week as well for 3 nights. DH said they could visit from Thurs-Sun as the dates suited us (he will still be on annual leave & I'm working late shift Wed /Thurs then the Sunday). MIL said oh what about Wednesday because that suits us better, DH said no Thursday is better for us. She nagged a bit then seemed to agree to them arriving on the Thursday. Phoned DH the next day to say the train tickets etc were booked for them to arrive - you guessed it - on the Wednesday.

DH was really annoyed & said we told you Thursday & her answer was "Wednesday suits us better":mad::mad: She doesn't care what suits us, just what suits her. I told DH if she does it again she can find a hotel for the night she decided suited them better. The only other response DH got was well the tickets were cheaper (by about £5) and it's booked now. Basically a big F you.

So I'm not really looking forward to their visit because apart from being generally difficult, they obviously don't care what suits us & think they can just bully us into getting their own way all the time. DH is really annoyed with his mum just now. So that will be fun.

Finally managed to clear the utility room & got DH to take the stuff he dumped in there back out to the garage. :T:j He also put some hooks on the wall so we can hang our recycling bags in there too - one for paper & the other for plastic, tins & glass - rather than them lying on the floor & DS pulling things out. Just need to get a small towel rail up above the sink for coming in from the garden hand washing etc. :)

:rotfl: Have just read over my last few posts & I'm being a right moany cow. :rotfl:

My excuse is I'm all over the place as I'm expecting baby no.2 in October so I'm allowed to be irrationally angry at everything just now. :rotfl:

Looking forward to having another wee one as we have loved having DS. MIL's reaction was typically weird "I hope you're not having any more than 2". Let's just say she didn't seem very happy. :rotfl:

My mum was delighted because she thought I was being an evil biatch because DH & I were secretly having problems and going to get a divorce.:rotfl: Yes my mum is a drama queen with an active imagination. :rotfl: I must have been really moody though if she thought that. :rotfl:
