Aw Sashy hope you had fun in spite of crazy children!

Honestly think even 1-2 years makes such a difference with tantrums and their reasonableness. I think both my DC are 1-2 years older than yours and I definitely notice such a difference in them. So hang in there, I bet you’ll find your next holiday easier and the one the year after easier still.

Lovely pics of the moors etc.

Hope that things get easier with DD. It's so hard when they're that age.

I love whitby when I went. It was a long time ago now though x

Thanks all, I did enjoy getting away and the area was lovely plus we had nice weather the majority of the time which we're not used to. 😂 DH was getting so depressed whenever the kids were playing up though and saying he wished we hadn't bothered taking them away. 😐 He's definitely still not right and is having anxiety over small things a lot just now.

Weighed myself this morning and I have put on 3lbs since the start of July so need to start watching what I'm eating again. I've been carried away with my birthday and holiday, definitely eating more junk but also haven't been exercising as much due to having the kids around more. I only managed 1 run a week last month so will need to try much harder this month. Kids go back to school in 2 weeks as well so that will be a big help.

I have definitely been feeling more body confident in terms of the clothes I'm buying/wearing though - I would never have worn a bikini this time 2 years ago and I have also bought myself a couple of shorter tops to wear with high waisted jeans. You can see about 1cm of skin at most but it's not something I ever would have done over the last few years. My stomach is still wobbly/squishy and not great, definitely not flat and I have quite bad stretch marks from 2 pregnancies with big babies but I think I look ok. I'd still love to have a flat stomach though! Concentrating on building my core back up to help with my pelvic floor issues for now though rather than anything else.

Today my mum is going to watch the kids for a couple of hours so DH & I can have a wee break and tomorrow I'm going for my second tattoo. Worried that it's going to hurt much more as it's on my ribs/side body but hopefully I can cope. 🤞 Last tattoo for a good while anyway as they're very pricey! I have been saving up for it and have some birthday money to go towards it as well. DH doesn't want me to get any more tattoos either, I probably won't but never say never. 😂 Told him it's not his decision in any case!

Really need to clean the floors downstairs so hopefully will get that done later, did the sinks and toilets yesterday and some washing and hoovered the bedrooms. Always something needing done, I really want to go through all the stuff lying about in my bedroom and either get rid or find somewhere to keep it tidy. Still haven't started painting that room. 🤦‍♀️

Hi all, tattoo went well and I’m really pleased with it. Pain wise it was ok for the first couple of hours but I found the shading more painful and by the end I was struggling. It wasn’t unbearable but with the shading she had to keep going over it and it felt like bad sunburn being rubbed with sandpaper.

I was there all day & spent around 5 hours being tattooed, had a 5 min break in the first 2 hours then a half hour lunch break in the middle & a couple of 5 min breaks for the last 3 hours.

Tattoo artist said I sat really well and think she was very pleased to get it all done in one sitting.

The tattoo looks amazing but won’t be going back anytime soon. 🤣

The kids go back to school next week & I’m so looking forward to it. Won’t be able to run though as my pelvic floor physio has asked me (told me) not to run for 4 weeks whilst upping the pelvic floor exercises. Then she wants to re-introduce the running slowly, with the aim of stopping the stress incontinence. I hope it works as I’m going to miss my runs 😩 but will just walk instead I suppose.

Glad the tattoo went well.  Good luck with the physio exercises, it will hopefully be worth it in the end :)

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day, managed to get three washings done, hung out, dried and put away which was very pleasing. 😊 We took the kids for a walk in the Braes, DD was screaming & refusing to get out of the car at first but we managed to persuade her. She managed 2.5km with minimal moaning plus the encouragement of a packet of crisps halfway and the promise of ice cream at the end. 😂

I took the second skin covering off my tattoo yesterday and it seems to be healing well so far, just need to keep it clean and keep moisturising and try not to scratch when it feels itchy!! Also slapped some fake tan on my legs which are even whiter than the rest of me and did another lash lift and tint so now can't get my eyelashes wet for at least 24 hrs. I also managed not to get any tint in my eyes for the first time ever which was a relief as it burns so badly.

My sister did a dermaplane and microneedling on my face on Friday and my skin feels much fresher now - the microneedling barely even hurt compared to the tattooing. 😛 I have booked a facial for September as I want to try and get skin treatments more regularly, my skin definitely looks better for it. Also planning on a hot stone massage in the winter as it's so relaxing. I have booked in for another hair cut in just over a week's time as well to try and and keep it tidier, if I leave it too long I look like a lego person because my hair just grows thicker and outwards. 😂

I'm going out today for a retirement lunch with work, there are 9 of us going so it should be fun. Dh is back at work so my mum is watching the kids for a few hours for me. I was also at my cousin's baby shower on Saturday which was fine, I've only been to my sister's previously as I didn't want one either time I was pregnant. It was nice to see my aunts, cousins and nieces and my mum ended up taking my baby niece home so I had to chauffeur them both and fit a pram into my very small boot. 😧 Thankfully my older twin nieces knew how to collapse it all down and helped me squish it in! I'm not used to prams and baby car seats anymore!

  • I managed to wash all of DD's high school uniform yesterday and get it all dried. Just the dreaded ironing now!

I love facials but haven't managed to have one on a good few years.

I could actually do with a full body massage after building DDs furniture. My back hasn't stopped spasming. I might book in as a treat to myself x
