I can't believe she's 4 already! Where has the time gone! Hope the tantrums and the pee incidents settle down.

I did the C25K in lockdown, although used to run before on a treadmill. I remember when the first 20 mins run was announced and I didn't think I'd be able to run 20 minutes non-stop - but I did. I haven't kept it up though as I'm now walking to/from work and doing Zumba and other exercise classes so don't feel the need (or have time!) for it now. I don't think I really enjoyed it enough to carry on running and certainly had no plans to move up to the C210K. Good luck with it anyway, it's quite addictive once you get going.

Thanks both, DD hadn’t slept a full night for a week until last night. 😩 She kept waking up around midnight/1am and having terrible screaming tantrums. The worst night was midnight to 4am on and off. Just hoping she’s back to sleeping normally now. 🙏

DH & I are struggling with the disrupted sleep, even poor DS is tired as he’s been woken up every night with the noise. I’ve been working early shifts as well since Sunday so up at 5am the last 3 mornings.

My mum kept both kids overnight on Sunday & DD did the same there. Last night she finally slept through so hopefully back to normal.

I’ve managed to do more runs and did week 2 run 1 on Sunday after work. I was quite surprised that I managed the 90 second running bursts quite easily compared to how much I struggled with the 60 seconds in week 1.

Hoping to get out for run 2 after work today although it’s a lot colder now. I had to scrape my windscreen this morning and it was really foggy. 😭

I’ve also not been as sore after each run as I’ve been doing my stretches and some yoga which definitely helps. My knees are quite achy afterwards though so I think I need to work on strengthening them.

The kids are off school & nursery this week so will have to try and entertain them. I’m off with them the full time after today & DH back to work tomorrow. Preparing to be asked for snacks 90 million times a day. 😑

DH switched us over to octopus energy after getting a referral from a friend. We are on a tariff that changes every 30 mins so it’s making us think about our energy use more and plan out the cheapest times to do washings and use the heated airer.

Thanks all, I managed my run after work yesterday but found it harder, maybe because I was tired after 3 early shifts. I think I tried to run too quickly again instead of slowing it down, people are literally walking faster than my light jog. 😂 My knees were very achey again and I had a hot bath when I got home, they're still a bit sore today so might have to have 2 rest days rather than go out again tomorrow. I do want to go out though, I enjoy the peace of it.

DD was a nightmare at bedtime and took over an hour to settle, she was screaming and tantruming again but slept through until half 5 this morning. She came in with us then until 8am but we didn't really get a proper sleep as she was being a pain and demanding tickles. DS also woke a few times with bad dreams so we're both exhausted and DH is back to work on lates today.

My mum and sister came up to visit, my mum brought one of my younger nieces and my sister had my 2 older nieces and her grandson with her. The kids had great fun running around with each other.

I hoovered the couches and gave the downstairs bathroom a clean before they all arrived, tomorrow I want to clean the upstairs bathrooms and the floors downstairs. Got two washings put away and two washings hung up today and did a couple of surveys and gave the coat/shoes/who knows cupboard of doom a quick tidy too.

I had ordered one of the cinnamon and clove candles from M&S for Christmas 2 days ago and it was due to be delivered today. Got an email this morning saying they are out of stock! How does it take them 2 days to realise they have no stock?! Also it's still showing available to order online. 🤔 I also have some pjs ordered for the kids from there that should have arrived today and got an email in the afternoon saying the courier has been delayed. What is going on, very irritating.

I have bought myself a couple of pairs of leggings with pockets for going running as I need somewhere to put my phone/keys and headphone case. I do wear a jacket but get really hot and usually have to take it off plus it's a pain having stuff in the pockets banging against me. It was really cold yesterday morning when I went to work, it was 1C and I had ice on my windscreen plus it was really foggy. Luckily it was 10C by the time I went for my run in the afternoon but I have ordered a couple of fleecy headbands to keep my ears warm incase it's really cold again when I want to go out.

Going to get DD into a warm bath before bed and hope she goes to sleep nicely tonight - and STAYS asleep! Also hopefully no getting up at 5:30am. 😩 I might do some bedtime yoga tonight but will see how I feel, won't get swimming this week as the kids are off.

    Positive vibes for DDfor tonight.
M & S are getting bad for taking money when you order & then letting you know things are out of stock.

I had the same problem with MnS when I ordered their September beauty box. I did eventually get it but it was a long time coming. When I used to go running I bought a pouch thing that clips round your waist to store my phone and keys. It was from Amazon.

I use a waist-pouch thing too, as having my phone in my leggings whilst I run pulls the leggings down! Not what you want  :/
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Afternoon all, DD woke up crying at 2am this morning and was messing about until half 3 in our bed until I got fed up and just put her into her own bed and let her have her tantrum. She was obviously tired because she fell asleep within 10 mins and didn't wake up again until 8am.

I woke up feeling really ratty from the broken sleep, between DD's antics and working 3 early shifts I haven't had an unbroken sleep of longer than 5 hours for nearly 2 weeks now. 😩 She has nearly always slept well so it's hitting me harder now she keeps waking. I think I need to avoid letting her into bed with us as she just doesn't settle. She harasses us for tickles and cuddles and gets quite violent if we don't oblige then starts screaming. I have previously tried getting into her bed with her, sometimes it works but recently she wants me to stay all night to tickle her back! Then we have more tantrums when I try to leave. 😩

I decided to have another rest day from running today as my knees are still twinging but I did do knee strengthening exercises and some yoga. I have a knee support somewhere so if it fits I might try it on one knee to see if it helps on my next run tomorrow.

The leggings with pockets have the pockets on the side of your thigh rather than where normal pockets are so it doesn't affect the waistband thankfully! I did have to buy a smaller size (although they are stretchy) as I have other ones that start sliding down when I move and I spend the whole time hoiking the waistband back up - not fun. I'll have a look at the waist pouches as well though. 👍

I have been really lazy with housework today and have put some washing away and hung another one up then made some banana bread with black bananas that needed using up. Will manage the bathroom cleaning but will leave the floor cleaning until tomorrow now. I've just had to do my online shopping for delivery tomorrow as we are running out of lots of things. I always forget how much the kids eat when they're not at school and nursery. 🤦‍♀️ So we didn't order enough in our previous delivery.

Have cashed out on PA so will make an OP to my smallest CC, need to update the debt totals in my sig as well actually.
