Thanks all, 😂 I like beanie's idea of the photo of the kids for FIL.

We had a lovely break and the kids really enjoyed getting away, although it did rain quite heavily for 2 days we did manage to get out and about. We had a nice boat trip and a couple of nice walks but mostly just enjoyed the cabin and the hot tub. The kids were delighted with the hot tub, actually so were we. 😂 Was lovely and warm so we could sit out even in the rain, it was actually really nice.

DH & I are thinking about going to one of the company's other sites for a weekend on our own next year but just depends on prices.

I started couch to 5k yesterday which was good but exhausting. 😂 I also apparently need to do more work on my pelvic floor exercises as the pressure when running was not kind on my bladder.  😳 My inner thighs and hips are very sore today, went swimming with DH and managed 25 lengths but just took it easy and I did feel a bit less sore for a while afterwards. Now back to being sore and stiff, walking down the stairs is very sore. 😢

Next run is tomorrow although planning a walk with DH in the morning as long as the rain isn't too heavy. Thinking I might be a bit mad starting c25k heading into winter but will just have to time my runs in the mornings after school drop off when it starts getting dark earlier.

Have done very little housework since getting back from our break on Friday although I was working late shifts Fri/Sat. DH did most of the washing and rotating the clothes on the normal clothes horses and heated airer. Need to do a lot tomorrow as just having a rest today, my mum is picking the kids up from school today so have a bit longer to relax.

Thanks beanie & jwil. The lochs are lovely and not far away at all so we should try to get up there more. I'm postponing my next c25k run to tomorrow as my thighs are still killing me and I'm getting new trainers delivered today. Actually looking forward to the run which I never thought I would say. 😂 Did some yoga this morning to stretch out my thighs and work on my core.

It's DD's 4th birthday so have wrapped her presents and need to get the birthday banner hung up. She was getting mixed up and told me that santa was bringing her birthday presents. 😂 She is desperate for a ballerina barbie, luckily I bought one. 😮‍💨

DH is making her cake and whilst he's doing that I'll need to do a bit of housework. Have hung up one washing and have the towels in the wm just now. The couches plus upstairs need hoovered, the floors & bathrooms need cleaned and the big litter tray clean needs done as well as various bin emptying.

Thanks guys, DD had a good time and loved her cake and presents but was quite tantrumy as she was so tired after nursery. She also had a few pee accidents at nursery and one trainer was completely soaked in pee 🤢 so has sat overnight with bicarb in it and I rinsed it with white vinegar, hopefully it won't smell once it dries. Today she came home with her boots in a bag - one boot pee soaked and 3 changes of clothes as well. 😢 Obviously getting too distracted at nursery to use the toilet, fingers crossed tomorrow is better.

DD was awake at 1am this morning and then had a screaming tantrum until 2am so I'm very tired today. Just hope she sleeps well tonight as I can't do another night like that, she was also really bad on Saturday night and was up every hour from midnight and just being a demon in general. 😩  DS was an angel at this age in comparison!!

I managed to do all my cleaning and hoovering yesterday so today all I needed to do was strip and change the kids bedding and get the sheets washed plus hang up the clothes washing I had on overnight. I also put up some halloween decorations in the house as the kids love them.

After school drop off (and the requisite tantrums from DD at having to get dressed/have her hair put up/wear shoes etc) I went for run number 2. I think I actually found it harder than the first run and really struggled. Not sure if it's general unfitness or because I had a rubbish sleep last night thanks to DD. I'm going to be sore in the morning though. 😭  I did do a bit of stretching afterwards so maybe that will help.

Have also made minestrone soup and put the breadmaker on so that's dinner sorted. DH went out with his friend at lunchtime and apparently won't be late. 😂 DD was having more tantrums at nursery pick up as she wanted her gran and didn't want to go home. 🤦‍♀️
