Mine too Beanie, I love it. Returned the coat today, fingers crossed the coat from v!nted is as nice.

Got loads done yesterday as got a few washings hung out and dried and then cleaned the whole kitchen and reorganised the reusable tubs/boxes etc cupboard. Got the boiler serviced as well and all ok there. 👍 I also cleaned the insides of all the downstairs windows and the windowsills. DH also deep cleaned the dining table and sealed the gaps round the edges that were collecting dirt. 🤢

We also bought the paint for our bedroom - it's called California Wine and is like a raspberry pink colour, it looks lovely. Hoping to get the room painted within the next month. DH (foolishly) showed the outlaws the colour and of course they don't like it, FIL was particularly disparaging and I won't even repeat what he said as it was so awful. 😠 He basically used a very old fashioned derogatory term for gay men to put down our colour choice! I honestly can't deal with him anymore he makes me sick. DH said today "they never approve of anything we do or decide on do they? It's so toxic". I think he just needs to stop telling them things.

Today DH and I walked the kids down to school and back then went swimming. I managed 10 lengths of the big pool and was really struggling by the end! DH managed 20 lengths, he is a much stronger swimmer than me. He is going to try and go at least twice a week, I'll go with him at least once a week, I obviously need the exercise. 😳 😂 Got more washing done today but that's about it. DH sanded the dining table a few times and applied the first coat of varnish, he should be able to finish it tomorrow but was away out with some old workmates tonight for dinner.

Tomorrow we're going to do the touch ups and repairs in the paint in the hallway and stairs. Some matt needs re-doing and also some gloss. Will need to clean the floor downstairs again and the front door could do with a clean as well. Will need to order some tarpaulin to cover the patio furniture for winter soon.

I'm back at work for 3 early shifts from Sunday 😢 so need to get organised as that will wipe me out.

Well unfortunately the outlaws are coming to visit next month. 😖 I'm so glad they don't stay in our house though as that would tip me right over the edge. I mostly cope with them by ignoring them to be honest, it helps that they live so far away and we only have to see them a few times a year. I'm quite worried about DH though as I'm working late shifts on 2 of the days they'll be here and they always say much more horrible things when I'm not there. 😡 I don't know if he's going to cope.

We managed to get most of the painting touch ups done at the weekend, just the highest matt bits to finish now so hopefully DH can get that done soon. I'd like to start on our bedroom in the next couple of weeks.

Work was tiring but I'm not back until next week now, DH on the other hand is back today for a week and his first day off will be my first day back. 😞 We went swimming again this morning, I managed to double my lengths this time and managed 20, DH also went swimming on Monday after dropping the kids off, he is really enjoying it. I'm not a natural swimmer so it's harder for me but I can manage it at least once a week for 30 mins and it will definitely help me to get fitter.

We had a meet the teacher thing yesterday afternoon with DS's class where you get to go into the classroom and meet the teacher etc. Unfortunately DS was really stressed out by all the people and was sitting against a wall with his arms wrapped round his knees. He told us to go away and he didn't want us there and then was a crying wreck. 😞 His teacher said she wants to talk to us because she thinks he might need additional support in class.

DH is now panicking about this, I think DS gets very anxious in class when he's asked to do any work, he's a bit of a daydreamer and I don't think he's paying attention! He struggles with reading and writing and always says he can't do it when he can but I think it's more effort than he wants to put in. We're trying to organise a meeting with the teacher around our shifts which is a pain but hopefully we can see her soon. I think DS maybe needs someone sitting with him to help keep him focused on what he's meant to be doing, hopefully it's something he will grow out of. I think he just needs to build his confidence around reading and writing but the school also has a counselling service for the kids so that might be another route if he's struggling with the school environment.

Thanks all, we had a meeting with the teacher this morning and she was looking for ways she can help him as he is having meltdowns in class and crying. She said he is often refusing to do work as well and doesn't like sitting in his seat. 🤦‍♀️ She said he does have access to a quiet room where he can go when he gets overwhelmed and he has used that before. She had a few ideas of what to do to help him but wanted to know if there was anything obvious she was missing. To be honest I don't think we were much help as he is similar at home and just needs to be by himself sometimes to calm down.

DD was only at nursery for half an hour and we had to collect her after our meeting with DS's teacher as she had a high temperature. She was saying she had a sore head and stomach as well. So dropped her off with my mum for an hour so DH & I could fit a quick swim in. DH is aiming to go 3 times a week, I'm aiming for once a week but will go twice if I have the time and can face it. 😂 DD is still really warm, the high temps are not helping.

I have barely got anything done today due to DD being home, hopefully I can get some housework done tomorrow. I'm hoping to do some bedtime yoga tonight as DH is working lates. I've hit one stone lost so only another stone to go to get to my target weight, pleased that I've managed it so far.
