    Blimey, your DH is brave.
Not sure I will ever come off the AD's.

    Enjoy the swimming  :)

Thanks Beanie, he was on the ADs years ago for a while so this was his second time back on them and he was feeling in a much better place so started reducing them and then stopped. He’s still not quite right but getting a bit better.

Will try to get the swimming passes sorted this week. DH has taken a lieu day later in the week so we will have a couple of days together when the kids are in school & nursery.

We’re hoping to take quite a few things lying around in the garden to the tip, clean up, sand and varnish our dining table and also finish the painting in the hallway by repainting the gloss etc that got splashed.

Today we tidied up the front garden by weeding and cutting back the climbing rose. Also dug out the dead hebe that has needed removed for ages. It looks so much better now and only took half an hour or so.

I’m going to get some heather for the gaps in the front bed as it pretty much looks after itself.

DH also used his heated weed killer on the driveway and I did the patio in the back while he watched the F1.

DH also hung out 2 washings and I stuck a load of towels on.

I’m struggling with tiredness today after work last night and I have a horrible cold coming on. 😭 Not looking forward to the next two days and more late shifts.

Both kids had long naps today and are also sniffly so think they have the cold too. Poor DH is up at 3am for the next 2 days for work and then has to collect the kids because I’m working. He’ll be collapsing into bed both nights I think.

Forgot to say that DH made Thai fish cakes for dinner tonight so that was very tasty. 😋

My bare minimum plan for tomorrow before work is to walk the kids to school and walk home then do some yoga. Hoover the couches to get the cat hair off and then clean the floor. Get the kids pjs and clothes for the next day out and ready.

I’m trying out some new cat litter as the recycled paper stuff we were using was really stinky once the cats had a pee. Trying a clumping clay one which is lightly scented and it’s so much better. I’m really impressed with it so far and as long as you remove the clumps daily they claim it will last a month (with top ups) before you need to do a full empty & clean.

DH & I still debating what we did wrong with his friend’s OH. 😂 We’ve worked out possible dates for them to come to ours so will see if they accept or if we get excuses!

    Heated weed killer?

I’ve been using the wood pellet cat litter and have started to notice a strong smell when they use it so I might try a clay one. They rarely use it to be honest as they go outside but I like to have it there just in case as they don’t have a cat flap.

We have a gas canister weed burner but I think it’s quite hard work as it takes ages to burn just one weed.

It’s really strange about DH’s friend’s OH. Is it possible she’s jealous of you?

Thanks Beanie, feeling a bit better after a decent sleep but still sniffly and sneezy. The weed burner we have is an electric one that basically just burns the weeds. I'm not sure it's any quicker than just pulling the weeds out but it does seem to kill them off for a good while and saves bending as it's a long wand type thing. I think DH got it from Mr Al's on one of their offers.

SA, I used to use clay stuff years ago and switched to the wood pellets but it's just so expensive now which is why we're trying different ones. The clay one I got is baby powder scented 😂 it's not a strong smell though and the cats don't seem to mind it as they're using it no problem. The kitchen definitely smells a lot better now anyway which is good as they're indoor cats.

I'm not sure what's going on with the friend's OH, I think it might be a mixture of things. DH did suggest that maybe she felt a bit insecure because in his words I'm "good looking" 😂 I'm not exactly a supermodel but nice that DH thinks so. 😂 He also said maybe she felt underdressed as I had on a dress (not a fancy one or anything) and she didn't. 🤷‍♀️ He thought she hadn't made much effort clothes wise which ties in with my feeling that she didn't really want to be there/was only doing it to keep her OH happy. 🤔 She was also mega !!!!!! off with us over her OH getting so drunk he had to stay over at ours a few weeks ago. 👀 She didn't even reply to the text message DH sent her to let her know so she wouldn't worry, which I thought was a bit weird. Surely you would just say ok thanks for letting me know?

DH & I were discussing it and we thought maybe she's not used to her OH having friends as he's in the same situation as my DH where his friends live further away so he spends most of his time with her. He does the same job as my DH (which is how they met) so works shifts which makes life difficult at times and on his days off he often has his kids as he's divorced. Then again maybe she's just someone who takes a while to warm to new people. 🤷‍♀️ We're also probably overthinking this!! 😂 Anyway we'll try again and see how it goes as we would like to have more friends. I don't think we're that hard to get on with!

Walked to school and back and have done my yoga then got the housework done that I wanted to. Have got DD's bedding out on the line as she took her nappy off this morning then had a pee all over her bed. 🤦‍♀️ Also washing the blankets I keep in the living room for when we're feeling a bit chilly as noticed they smelled a bit musty, probably from the kids wiping their hands all over them. 🤢

DD was very grouchy going into nursery so I had to walk her in rather than leaving her at the gate with the teacher, hopefully she'll behave for DH later. She kept asking for daddy this morning as she decided she didn't like me (you're not my best friend!) after I brushed her tuggy hair. 😂

Going to relax for a while before getting my lunch and dinner sorted for work and then will probably need to get changed as well. DH might get home before I leave as he's been at work since 4am.

I've had a fairly lazy day so far, walked the kids down to school and walked back then headed out to get some cleaning stuff from H0me Bargains. I'm very proud of myself as I mostly stuck to my list and didn't buy any of the halloween or christmas stuff they have in. It was mostly cleaning stuff and some snacks for the kids. I bought myself a collagen lip mask as it was 59p for a pack of 2 and my lips keep feeling really dry.

I ruined my good behaviour in HB by buying a coat, a dress and a pair of pjs in Mr A's, I did get all 3 for £59 but I need to stop buying! The coat is a lovely cobalt blue but annoyingly doesn't have any pockets.

Have stripped my bed and DS's and got it all hung out on the line and that's about it. Need to get yesterday's dry washing put away and give the bathrooms a wipe but will leave that until after school pick up. I managed to give nursery some toys the kids weren't playing with too so that's another bag of stuff out of the house.

The kids have ruined multiple polo shirts between them in the whole 2 weeks they've been back at school and nursery. Both came home with tomato sauce stains that won't come out (think spilled lunch and/or wiped hands all over it levels) and DD has ruined a few with paint and pens. They're so bad I think I'm going to need to buy new ones. 🤦‍♀️ White polo shirts are my nemesis, I use stain remover powder, spray and a solid bar rubbed in and still can't get the stains out.

I use something called elbow grease. It's yellow and in a spray bottle and it beats anything I have ever used before. Its a multipurpose thing mostly for cleaning, but it does say use on clothes. I've never used anything as good. X

Thanks Willow, I have that as well and it does help but not always. 🤣 DD is covered in dirt everyday after nursery, DS not as bad apart from last week when he wore his lunch rather than ate it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve decided to return the coat I bought today as I saw a very similar one with a better shape on v!nted and it’s a third of the price even including fees and postage. So a refund of £32, £10.50 of that will go towards the coat from v!nted. Hoping it fits now!
