Wiped out by two 5am starts the last two days but managed to do the second coat of gloss in my bedroom yesterday and the first coat on the last of the skirting board.
Going to do the second coat today then everything can be moved back. I have been tidying and trying to find homes for the stuff that has been lying around the bedroom for ages. I have managed to find homes for a few things and have moved all my saved packaging for sales/sending things into a wicker box with a lid to stop Big Cat chewing the plastic. Added a pair of boots and a pair of heels to the charity bag as I never wear either. The shoes are about 20 years old but in great condition as they were actually too small for me when I bought them because they were a bargain! I only wore them twice because they were agony. 😂
I have two bags of the kids clothes for v!nted and one bag of cloth nappy stuff. Seriously debating just giving it to charity to get rid of it as it's just taking up space and I haven't listed half of it yet. 😩
Have done my core exercises and 25 mins of yoga - 10 mins for my hips and 15 mins of morning yoga. Not got any housework done, was trying to persuade the kids to go to the library but they're not keen. 🙄Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I sold a few bits on eBay for next to nothing which made me wonder whether it was worth all the hassle. At least if I’d donated it to the CS they might’ve got a decent amount for it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I've definitely been doing more donating than selling recently too.2

I agree, if it's causing you an annoyance, either list it as bundles and clear it or just donate it and get rid."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

I bagged up all the clothes and shoes up that were to be donated or sold and took them all to a salvation army clothes drop off point this morning. I used old charity bags that had been put through the door and had 5 bags full. 😱 I feel a lot better now they're gone and it's created a bit of space. I still have the cloth nappy stuff as it's only a small bag and will look into donating to a nappy library if I can't face selling.
Also took the kids to the library and got them signed up to the summer reading challenge. They got 4 books out each, by which I mean I chose them whilst they ran in circles round the children's area. 🤦♀️ We then went to buy fruit and they begged me for a magazine each, ended up having to go to a different shop as the first one didn't have the lego magazine DS wanted.
Will get everything moved back into it's proper place in the bedroom today and try to re -home more stuff so it's not lying around. I also want to go through the drawer of my dressing table as I suspect there is a lot of old or unused make up in there that can go. I'm trying to declutter or find homes for things and doing it a small bit at a time seems to be helping.
We have a small desk that has been taken apart and lying under our bed for a while. We have measured and decided we can fit it into DS's room for him to build his lego on and play with it as it's just ending up all over the floor just now. Going to build that in the next few days and re-arrange DS's room a bit.
Taking the kids to a soft play party tomorrow morning (lucky me) which they will enjoy. I'll get the present wrapped soon, the party is for my cousin's wee girl so at least I'll know people there as have to stay for DD.
Have got one washing put away, one out on the line and another in the wm just now. Hoping it stays dry but it's looking a bit dubious out there.
Will need to do my yoga and physio exercises soon as otherwise I won't do it.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.2 -

I did get the exercises done Beanie 😂 My hip has been feeling a lot better since doing the yoga so I'm trying to do it every day.
Kids had a great time at the soft play party, I helped DS finish off one of his lego models as well later that afternoon so he was really happy about it. Unfortunately there were 3 pieces missing as DS had been messing about with the box and kept moving it all over the house! I found two of the missing pieces in his room with his other lego so I'm sure the final piece is around somewhere. 🙄 😂 When we finished the model DS told me "Well done mummy I knew you could do it" 😂 Probably because of all my moaning, I'm not a lego fan. 😆
Today we had a more chilled day and went to my mum's for a bit then I took DS to his swimming lesson. DD was so tired when we got home from my mum's and had a big tantrum about getting out of the car/getting changed for bed.
I managed to clean the bathrooms and do the big cat litter clean as well as put a washing away so not a totally unproductive day.
Tomorrow morning we are going strawberry picking, it will most likely be raining and has been raining all day here so we will definitely be taking the wellies!Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. @jwil
On R4 yesterday there was a discussion about pre-loved selling platforms, and I thought of you because there was one called The Octopus Club which was a platform for buying/selling babies and children's items. Maybe you could sell the nappies on there?
