Thanks for the suggestions Bluegreen, my two like to run in opposite directions in a play park so it’s impossible to see them both & I panic. I usually only go to one when I have someone else with me so we can watch one each. 😂
We might consider a swing set (if funds ever allow) but not really enough room for a trampoline & we live at the top of a big windy hill so it would have to be sunk into the grass.DS is starting to be a bit more helpful with gardening rather than just attacking plants & DD does try but between them they usually kill my poor plants. 🤦🏻♀️ Or they stand and eat all the raspberries because their wee fingers fit through the bird nets. 🤣
Thanks enthusiasticsaver, the holiday fund is also a good idea.
It’s freezing here today, DH working very early (should have been 4am start but they let him come in later due to the holiday) so he’ll be home soon & we’re all still lazing in bed. 🫢Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Have made a start today as we took the kids to the park for an hour then home to finish the leftover minestrone soup & have some chips. This was a compromise as the kids wanted chips when we were out.DH took all the Christmas lights down, inside & out and I took down the Christmas tree and packed the other decorations away too.Have done a couple of washings but that’s about it for today. Sat down after lunch and DD & I had a nap. 😂Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. DS was very stroppy in the park but DD actually behaved for once.
Running out of the powder I add to the cat’s food for their teeth, I knew I had it on am@zon subscribe & save but it was going to cost £15.49 & wouldn’t arrive until the end of Jan. Cancelled the s&s then re-signed up as got 15% discount instead of 5%. I had £5.50 in vouchers so in the end it’s costing £8.44 “real” money and should arrive tomorrow. It lasts 5-6 months.
Pleased with that, as it saves a decent amount of money. I need to check the toilet roll subscribe & save too as think the price has gone up. I usually get it delivered every 3 months.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. The kids are back at school & nursery today 🥳 DS decided he wanted to walk so we walked to school and halfway DD tripped and fell and got a hole in her leggings and grazed her knee. 🤦♀️ She then complained the rest of the way to nursery and started limping dramatically when the nursery teacher gave her sympathy. 😂
Have sold quite a few things on v!nted so dropped the parcels off at the shop after dropping the kids off then walked home again (all uphill so I was really hot by the time I got home 😢). Also did day 1 of Adriene's new 30 day yoga challenge, the downward dogs nearly killed me but I did it. 😀
Going to the chiropractor tomorrow morning so hoping to squeeze day 2 of yoga in after the school run & before my appointment.
It's also payday tomorrow and think we are going to be a bit short due to the massive CC bill despite getting a good amount of overtime. 😭 The mortgage comes out again before we get paid again so that will take us back into the OD by a few hundred. Hoping it won't be too bad and the lack of council tax next month will even it out. I might need to hold off paying into a few pots this month. 🤔
Have changed the kids beds already this morning as DD is leaking out of her nappies most nights now. I wish she would just use the toilet!! I do have a waterproof pad on her bed but she pulls it off and then soaks the sheet underneath. Thankfully I also have a waterproof mattress protector on her bed but it's not ideal having to wash a sheet & mattress protector every day.
One washing put away and have another to hang up and need to get DD's sheets in the wash.

Managed to do day 2 of yoga this morning before my chiropractor appointment, pleased that I fit it in.
Hung two washings up (one a mini nappy wash) & stuck the clean towels in the tumble dryer as they would take forever to dry otherwise. Put the towels and yesterday’s dry washing away.
Made lentil soup for dinner and DH made us omelettes for our lunch. Haven’t done any other housework apart from washing dishes.
Poor DD is exhausted after nursery and having a snooze on the couch. She has grazes on both knees and bad bruises after her fall yesterday. 😕
Need to wrap presents for the 2 parties DS is going to tomorrow. The second is for my great nephew so DD will be going to that one as well.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Payday today and have moved some money into the new pots, the rest will come out as standing orders.I had to reduce the kids, holiday & family fun amounts to £50 each as the mortgage is coming out again 2 days before our next pay and will take us back into the OD by £520. 😞
Hoping we can pay this off with a combination of no council tax in Feb & overtime. The same thing will happen again in March but we have 2 pays in March as paid 4 weekly.
Doesn’t look like there will be anything spare to pay towards debts though which is frustrating. Also have both car’s MOT’s and my service to pay for in February. 🤦🏻♀️Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh poor DD. Mine was the same with falling over at that age, two left feet I used to say to her.Sounds like an expensive few weeks for you coming up. Could you send just a tiny amount to the debt so it feels like you’re making a start.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

SA, DD is always trying to run so fast her feet can’t catch up and she goes down face first. 🤦🏻♀️ She already had bad bruises on her knees from tripping in the park as well.I have some survey money coming in so hoping to send £20 to the smallest CC balance. It’s also DH’s 40th birthday next month so we need some money to at least go out for dinner. I have no idea what present to get him & zero budget unless some more survey money comes in. I’m thinking of trying to make a cake for him at least.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780.
