Glad things have been a bit better. It is up and down at the minute all the time with the way things are and I think you are doing fab for still getting up and doing yoga.
Sorry DH isn't getting up when he says he will. That must be really frustrating for you to have to keep addressing but if it doesn't change then why would he think you wouldn't keep mentioning it? My ex was exactly the same.

    Hi Beanie and Nicnak. 👋

Beanie I saw the card idea online somewhere and have been meaning to do it for ages, glad that I finally just did it. I don't know if the kids will be interested when they're older but I can always keep them if not.

Thanks Nicnak, I need to keep up with the yoga as it does make me feel better and gives me a bit of time on my own. I don't know what goes through men's heads at times. 🤷‍♀️ My DH is generally pretty good but he can be a bit blind about some things and doesn't like when they're pointed out. Then he'll quietly do whatever it is (eventually) just as long as he's made his point that he's doing it because he wants to and not because he's been told to. 😂

Just did 25 mins of yoga and definitely feeling better for it. I have a bit of a dodgy knee and it has been playing up the last few days so I know I need to move about a bit more than I have been doing.

The weather was awful yesterday with howling wind and rain, so we didn't get out. It's wet again today but not so windy so hoping to at least get out into the garden. The fresh air would be good for all of us.

I forgot to mention, the other night when I was looking for the baby cards to put together I found two small boxes under my bed with some posh skincare stuff I'd forgotten about. 😱 I don't know how long it had been there!! There was soap, hand scrub and nail and cuticle cream - those were all sealed so should be fine but there was also some half used body lotion that had to be binned. ☹️ There were quite a few travel sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner as well but those should be ok I think. Just can't believe I forgot about them and wondering why I put the boxes under my bed. 🤔 Anyway I transferred what could be saved into my en-suite where it will get used.

Speaking of skin care stuff I have been noticing a lot of fine lines on my forehead recently so thinking I need to get some retinol or something for my skin, maybe hyaluronic acid?Apparently the inkey list retinol serum is good but I need to read up on it, it's £9.99 for 30ml and I don't want to buy it then not use it. I already have some rosehip oil from them but haven't used much and can't remember what skin issue I bought it for. 👀  It could be the dark pigmentation I have on my forehead and across my cheekbones. It just appeared one day when I was 30, I think the sun caused it but it's never really gone away. 😩 DH very kindly calls them my Klingon marks. 🤨 They definitely get darker in the sun so I always use spf 50 on my face now.

Yesterday I had a shower when I got up, then helped DH finish getting the kids up and ready and down to breakfast. Then I went back upstairs to dry my hair and whilst I was up there just decided to finally clean the bathrooms. They look so much better, especially the floors, although I have a yellow stain from the rubber backing of a bath mat on the light coloured flooring in my en-suite. It looks horrible but I can't get it off, it's been there for ages - the offending bath mat got chucked out - and I'm wondering if we'll have to replace the flooring.

DH replaced a part in our en-suite toilet as it's been filling continuously and making really annoying noises for ages. The same part broke in our main bathroom a few years ago so he knew what to buy but it's the first time he's attempted fitting it. I think it's the flush valve? Anyway, he was having a nightmare with it leaking after replacing it but has realised that he needs another part that had worn away but we won't be able to get it until Tuesday due to the bank holiday. So that toilet is out of use for now but at least it's not making the annoying noises that have been going on for months now. DS picked up a small wrench, walked in at bedtime in his pjs and straw hat (he wears his straw hat EVERYWHERE) and told DH "I fix it Daddy". 😂

    That's so cute.
Frustrating about the toilet though. A pain that it needs fixing still because of the worn part.

    Hi Beanie and Nicnak. 👋

Well after saying that about the toilet DH realised that screwfix was open, so he managed to get the part and sort it out yesterday. 😊

I finally got my runner beans moved out into their outside pots and have set up the frames for them to climb up as well. Repotted a few cucumber plants and one courgette but still have the rest to do, hoping to get that done today.

I had DD sitting in the pram and DS running about whilst I was in the garden yesterday, DS was playing with a bucket of water and some gardening gloves at one point. 🤷‍♀️ He was happy and not destroying my plants so that was the main thing. 😂

The wind snapped one of the stalks on my rhubarb crown. 😢 So I was quite annoyed about that, thankfully there are still a couple on there, so it's growing ok. DH sat a big pot to the side of the crown to try and protect it from the wind until it's big enough to survive and/or the weather improves. I didn't think about it being in a bit of a wind tunnel when I planted it. ☹️

My back/pelvis was killing me after bending down in the garden yesterday. ☹️ I think I need a proper potting table so that I'm not bending so much.

Forgot to mention that we had another family quiz on Saturday night over zoom. I won the previous quiz so was the host this time and got to set the questions. It was good, although my sister ducked out again, I think she finds it boring. 🤷‍♀️ Everyone seemed to find my questions hard but I thought I had made them quite easy. 😂

It's quite sunny here today, hoping to get a few washings out. I had to set up two clothes horses in the (very messy) spare room yesterday for the washing plus the nappy wash because it kept raining and it reminded me how much easier it is to hang a washing out as it dries much quicker.

I've ordered more nappies and inserts as realise we're a bit short at times and couldn't go for too long without washing every morning. I feel like I've spent a fortune on cloth nappies. 😱

Hopefully I won't need to buy anymore now, DD is in them pretty much full time and DS uses 3 during the day and a night nappy, so only needs around 2 disposable pull ups a day. He floods both disposables and cloth nappies as he's such a heavy wetter, so we're constantly dealing with leaks. The inserts/boosters I've ordered are hemp so hoping they will be better for DS. I wish he would toilet train but he's really not interested and screeches if we even mention using the toilet. 👀 😔

No point trying if he's not ready. We tried with DD at night and she just couldn't do it. She'd been dry during the day for 18onths before she got dry at night time. I didn't push it though as it used to worry her.

Hi Beanie, DS will be 3 next week.

Yeah Nicnak, we're just waiting to see if he'll initiate it but every so often we ask him if he wants to use the big boy toilet - the answer is always no! He used to sit on the seat we got for him on the toilet but now he won't even try that. 🤷‍♀️ We get so many leaks and wet patches from every type of nappy that it's frustrating but we can't force him to use the toilet, so will just have to wait.

I think he'll want to use the toilet once he's at nursery and sees the other kids doing it but we'll just have to wait and see. My friends all seem to have children who toilet trained a lot earlier so it feels a bit odd to me that DS just isn't interested. I think MIL just thinks we're being lazy and can't be bothered training him. 🙄 Mind you DS didn't walk until he was 17 months because he just didn't want to, he's stubborn.

Not long back from a walk - DS was actually pretty good. We took him to a nearby school playing field so he could run about without us worrying about the road and he loved it. There was a bit of a tantrum when he wanted to go and play with another wee boy who was also there (and who also wanted to play with DS!) and we couldn't let him. ☹️ It ended up with me having to carry him away then sit on the ground with him until he calmed down. He then had another screaming fit whilst crossing the road as he didn't want to wait for the green man. 😩

Poor wee guy was walking up the hill saying in a very sad voice "No gran, no gran" and I said that no we couldn't see gran but we could talk to her on the computer. ☹️ He really misses seeing my mum.

On a positive note, at least DS walked up the hill without a screaming tantrum. 🥳

Aw bless him. My parents are struggling without my DD too. It's so hard for them to understand especially his age.
    He'll get it when he's ready x
