Glad you managed to get your pelvis reset - it sounds horrific to me but I'm sure it's worth it in the end.

I believe shops are extending their times for returning goods so maybe you'll be able to take it back when all this is over?  It's still annoying though.  I've tried to ring a couple of places while we've been in lockdown and not been able to get through, fortunately nothing urgent.

    Hi Beanie, Nicnak and SA.

Getting my pelvis reset really isn't painful at all, the chiropractor just realigns my pelvis and spine properly by pressing and manipulating the relevant areas in different positions. I can hear some cracking but it doesn't hurt and always feels so much better afterwards.

As soon as I lay down the chiropractor said Oh yes that pelvis is out. I knew it was as I've had problems with it since DS was born and know how it feels when it's out of alignment now. I was in terrible pain with my back and pelvis after having DS and am so glad I had been going to the chiropractor for years and knew to go back to her after the birth to get reset.

The chiropractor at that point was the older lady who sold her practice to the girl I see now. The older lady had so many years of experience that she would just look at your back and would touch the sore bit and say your problem is there isn't it. She said she saw so many ladies with back pain often years after having children and it was because their pelvis had been knocked out of alignment and never fixed as they didn't know.

Yes Nicnak & SA it's a real pain about the tumblers, I might try and contact them again when they're taking emails. At least it wasn't a lot of money.

I had to go to 3 shops today before I could get any compost, so was out for 3 hours. None in the supermarket or B&M (although I still managed to buy a lot of random stuff, to be fair it was random stuff we needed but still). I had to queue outside B&Q for about 15 mins but got compost, some pots, reduced geraniums and netting for the gooseberry bushes. It was quite tricky getting the big bag of compost out of the trolley into the car on my own though. 🥵 Have had to rest my back after that, my chiropractor would probably give me a row! 👀

Will try to get my gardening done tomorrow as don't want to be bending down and aggravating my back even more today.

Have been busy in the garden today - earthing up the potatoes again and repotting seedlings. I now have about 10 padron seedlings, oops. Might need to pass a few on to friends, we'll see how many survive first though. Repotted another courgette, my bargain geraniums, padrons and my lobelia, linaria and dianthus. Will put the runner beans into their outside pots tomorrow as they are getting quite big already.

Also did some weeding out the front and tidied up the dead daffs, cut them back so there's still some leaves but they look tidier now. Need to get my sweet peas out there asap but the ground is very hard so that will be a pain.

My rhubarb crown is looking good and now has three leaves. 🥳 Will have to sort the netting out for the gooseberries and raspberries soon. Our resident magpie has been coming every day to check on them, we have a pair who know we grow berries and enjoy visiting to steal them!

DS has been fairly good, I've been reading a lot of parenting articles and books about trying to get your toddler to listen. 😂 A lot of it sounds daft but some of it does seem to work. He was screaming the other day because I wouldn't put his bin lorries on y0utube until he helped me pick up all the toys he had thrown everywhere. He was getting more and more angry, trying to run away etc and I was just shouting but then I remembered reading about acknowledging their feelings with words and just cuddling them. So I said to him "I know you're angry because you want to watch trucks but I need you to help me tidy up first and then we can watch trucks". He screamed a bit more, let me cuddle him and then turned round and started picking things up. Ok it was only a couple of things but it was still a lot better than I was expecting.

DS keeps telling DH he loves him but never says it to me!! Typical!

DD has been a bit grumpy but generally pretty good, she has slept through the night quite a few times now with the odd night where she wakes up, usually when her mouth is hurting with teething. I'm trying to go to bed earlier but not really succeeding, I count it as a win if I'm in bed by midnight. 😂

DH put up the new curtains I ordered for the patio doors and they look very nice - they have brightened the room up as they are a light mustardy yellow colour. I like them. 😊

Good way to deal with DS :)

    Hi Beanie & Dancing.

Beanie, DH is getting on ok, he is on shorter shifts than usual as there is such a reduced service so there are a lot of spare drivers. He's working now until Friday then is off on annual leave, so not too bad for him!

Dancing, yes I'm feeling more positive for the moment, I find I get more done if I manage to get up and do a bit of yoga in the morning. No doubt I'll have another down day again soon but hopefully not for a while.

Hoping I can start to try changing my automatic reactions to DS being annoying/refusing to do what he's told (loss of temper/shouting) and try to be more patient with him. He's not doing it to annoy me, he's only little, I do try to remember this but sometimes I'm just so tired and irritated that I find it hard.

Glad that the new technique worked, that is great news. He picked some up which is great progress.
It is hard. I lose my temper sometimes too and that really frustrates me just as much, but we are human and when we are tried and stressed, we react.
Have a lovely day. Your garden sounds lovely. I have no idea what half of those plants are x

Thanks Nicnak, I think I'm getting more frustrated than usual with DS because we're stuck in together allll the time because I'm on maternity leave plus the lockdown. We usually see my mum a couple of times a week just to get out or go to the park or even just the supermarket and DS sometimes stays overnight with my mum as well. So it's a big change plus he's at a difficult age where he wants to be independent but in reality he's only (nearly) 3! And obviously he gets a bit jealous of DD at times because she needs me (physically) a lot more than he does at this stage of her life, since she's only 7 months old.

Thanks re the garden, we have quite a lot going on in it, it's taken us 6 years since moving in to get it to the point it's at now and there will probably always be different things we want to do or grow. This is our first proper garden as adults as we lived in flats for years, so we've really enjoyed getting into it. I love growing things from seed, it feels so rewarding and getting out into the garden relaxes me and gives me a bit of me time, even with DS running about shouting mummy mummy mummy every 2 seconds. 😂

DH has just gone to work, so I'll be doing bedtime on my own tonight. 😱 I'm sure it will be fine. 😃 Horrible wet day here so we'll not be out in the garden.

Have stuck a washing of DD's stuff on and it's now in the TD, washed some dishes and that's about the extent of my housework today.

Going to have a video chat with my friends from work soon, so DS will want something on tv (please not the bin lorry videos 😭). DD will be happy on her playmat or in the jumperoo.

With my DS it was the blooming telebubbies & the singing kettle.
I can still sing that singing kettle song!!
