Hadn’t heard the word “threenager” before but it did make me chuckle.  It is easy to forget the intensity of every day when children are little. Although I have one pre-schooler, having plenty of teens to entertain him is an advantage🙂.

    Hi Nicnak & Honeysuckle. 👋

Nicnak, I think my legs would fall off after a bike ride. 😂 Your DD must still have had plenty of energy to burn off on the trampoline!

Honeysuckle, I like the word threenager because DS is acting like a mini teenager at the moment, all the attitude but cuter. 😂  I think we've just been unlucky that we've hit a particularly intense time of growth and development for DS in the middle of this lockdown. I would usually be able to take him to my mum's and out and about and we would have a break from each other every so often, which isn't happening just now obviously.

I made french onion soup yesterday and DS loved it, had cheesy garlic bread with it, so he was in heaven. Also made blueberry muffins with my ys blueberries (60p for 300g!) from last week and used the lower amount of sugar given in the recipe. They're nice as not too sweet and are fairly light as I used rapeseed oil instead of butter.

Last night we had an online family quiz with my mum, brother, sister and brother's GF. DH was the host/quiz master. It was quite funny until my sister got really drunk and started insulting everyone. 😯 She was having a right go at my brother, then it was my mum's turn, then my DH and then me! I think the only one who escaped without an insult was my brother's GF. My sister is a nightmare with a drink in her. 🙄

We went out for a walk this morning and DS was fairly disobedient, didn't want to hold my hand crossing the roads and kept running away. He then proceeded to scream and carry on the whole way up the giant hill on our way home. DH had to pick him up and carry him home screaming. Of course this was when the majority of our neighbours were around. 😂

He was crying so much he was actually a bit sick. 😔 All because he didn't want to do what he was told - kept going limp and refusing to walk etc. He also wanted to go on the unsafe swing and I told him it was broken and I was sorry but he couldn't go on it. At home he was still crying and saying Swing Broken, sowwee (his version of sorry). It took me a while to work out what he was saying. Poor wee soul. ☹️

Had a video call with my mum and DS was so delighted to see her, kept trying to kiss the phone. Can't wait to take him down to see her when the lockdown eases (and preferably throw him out of the car to her before speeding off 🤣).

Have got two washings hanging out and another one on. Stripped everyone's beds as well this morning so nice clean bedding for DS, DD and us tonight.

I'm trying to eat a bit less at meals and not snack to try and lose a bit of this excess weight. I know I've definitely been snacking too much and eating bigger portions out of greediness.

Poor DD is teething again so has been a bit grumpy and just wants to be held. She was so sore yesterday that we had to give her paracetamol. Poor baby.

Aw teething is not the greatest. I remember those days. I also remember the disobedient ones too, and I am so glad I am the other end of it all.

Your sister sounds like one of my cousins. She is just known for being an absolute nightmare after having a drink and I haven't properly spoken to her in years.

I've cut back too. I've gained so much weight from eating loads and not moving much, but I really can't afford to keep it up any further. x

Really unfortunate when people are like that when they are drunk.

    Hi Nicnak and Beanie.

Yes, my sister is hard work at the best of times but with a drink she gets quite aggressive and nasty. She likes to insult us all and says we're boring because we only have a couple of drinks rather than get completely smashed. 😱 The way she talks to her kids is horrible as well and I just hope that they realise that the way she behaves isn't normal.

My DH is still pretty angry with her as she ruined it for the rest of us - he had to kick her out of the online meeting in the end. My brother is an annoying drunk as he talks rubbish but at least he's not nasty. He gets drunk on 3 drinks to be honest so can't handle his drink. 🙄

DS continued to be a pain yesterday, everything was a big drama and there was screaming every time we asked him to do something he didn't want to do.

I got up and did 45 mins of yoga this morning, one of the exercises really aggravated my sore SI joint in my back so I know not to do that again. Still feeling quite sore though. 😔

Going to get a washing hung out but no real plans for the day, DS has been better behaved so far at least. 😊

Forgot to mention that DH had a strop this morning after I asked him to move out of the way whilst he was putting cereal out for himself and DS. I needed to get to the worktop to make DD's bottle and baby porridge. 🤷‍♀️ He started banging about and saying I was horrible to him and criticise everything he does. 👀

The strop continued for a while. He drives me mad sometimes, apparently I talk to him in a horrible tone. I literally asked him to move out of the way, pleasantly, not like "Move!". He gets very over sensitive about stupid things and imagines that I'm criticising him when I'm not. 🙄

He's going back to work on Friday, I think a bit of space will be good for both of us.

Definitely the space will be good for you and DH.  I bet you're fed up what with the stroppy toddler and now a stroppy DH.  Your sister sounds just like my cousin, although my cousin is like this without a drink, she would fall out with her own shadow!  It's a shame she spoilt the family quiz, if she can't handle alcohol then she shouldn't drink at all.

    Hi Beanie & SA.

Yep, definitely ready for DH to go back to work. 😂 Just feeling totally fed up and can't even escape to go and visit anyone for a break.

My sister just thinks we're all boring because we don't want to get as drunk as her. 🤨 She can't just have a couple of drinks and always takes it too far. She fairly often goes on a "night" out and doesn't come home for 2 days!! The kids are just dumped with one of their grandparents and then rotated round between them until she decides to appear again. 😱 She's 34! The people she hangs about with all think it's normal to go out for the night then go back to someone's house and just sit and drink for 2 days solid. 🤷‍♀️ We're all just like !!!!!!. 😮 She's just so selfish and then she moans that the kids don't want anything to do with her. I wonder why, maybe because she's always ditching them. 🙄

The thing is she can be a nice person when she's not drinking and can be really good fun. She's always a person that puts herself first but that's the way she's always been. I just don't like who she is when she drinks but she's my sister and I love her. She's just so frustrating, I keep waiting for her to grow up and it never happens. I just wish her kids didn't have to deal with all her rubbish behaviour.

Of course I'd get it in the neck for "looking down my nose at her" and being mum's "favourite" if I said anything to her about it. She wouldn't listen anyway, my mum has tried a million times and it goes in one ear and out the other.

Have had another day of not doing very much, have cashed in for £5 on one of my survey sites so that will go towards one of the debts.

DH has been busy with the home brew again, at least it keeps him occupied. 🤭
