It's all this baking everyone's doing. I have a small bag of SR flour in stock, I rarely bake so it's being going down slowly. Starting to wish I'd picked up a big bag now. Have you tried a smaller shop for the flour, do you have a corner shop nearby? I've been told that some shops are keeping stock of the popular items in the back for the elderly and foodbanks so some might filter through to the shelves if it's not needed.
Anyway you're sounding very busy but well-organised as always 😁

Where's all the SR gone then Beanie do you think? Possibly stockpiled a while ago before all this started off in earnest?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

😂 Beanie, imagine trying to post flour. 😂
Hi SA, seems to be different availability of flour in different areas. 🤷♀️ My MIL (down south) was saying there was loads of flour in her Mr L. I wonder if I should try there, DH looked in Mr Al's last week, Mr M (both of us on different days) & in Mr A - not one bag of flour of any type to be found!
Yesterday I hoovered the whole house and moved DD's Moses basket into her big cot from my room. I also moved the chair I sit in to feed her at night into her room. She coped really well, only woke up for feeds - once about 10pm and again at 4:30am. She seems happy enough in there, will keep her in the Moses basket for a couple more nights then do the full transfer to her sleeping in the big cot.
We got out into the garden yesterday afternoon, got a washing hung out and I transferred my sweet pea seedlings into the greenhouse. Also managed to move my lobelia seedlings into separate pots and thinned them out. Think we'll get the potatoes into their bags next week at the latest.
DS had great fun in the garden but also pulled one of my tulips apart, it sounds daft but I nearly cried. 😳 He is forever beheading my flowers and killing my plants. 😩 He patted my back for me. 😂 Later on he kept saying "Fun in the garden mummy, fun in the garden" so at least he enjoyed himself. 🤷♀️
Have stripped the bed & washed the sheets, just going to hang them up outside shortly to dry. Might attempt the bathrooms later but will see how I'm getting on. Have already got a chilli in the slow cooker for later, will need to stick some potatoes in the oven as we like it with baked potatoes.
Still haven't made it to the shops, unsure where to go as Mr M has never had flour yet but definitely think that I need to get there early in any case.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. You are always so busy. I am amazed at how you manage. I am sowing some nicotania seeds as you have inspired me. Thank you!3

Hi piquant. 👋 I feel like I'm on a hamster wheel sometimes and never getting anywhere. 😂 Glad to hear you've sown some seeds, I really enjoy growing things and getting out into the garden helps me calm down (except when DS beheads my flowers 😭). I hadn't heard of nicotiana before so just googled it and it looks very pretty. 😊
I had a full day yesterday - I finally got up early enough to get to the nearby Mr M for opening at 8am. There was a small queue but I was only in it for 2 minutes or so and it wasn't too busy inside either which was good. The social distancing still wasn't really happening in the shop apart from at the tills but I tried my best. There were a few old people in there with masks, gloves and what looked like those plastic poncho things you get on a water ride at a theme park! 🤷♀️
I managed to get some clothes for DD in the sale, she is growing out of everything! Got 3 sleepsuits for £5 and four tops for £6.50 and then got another (full price) pack of sleepsuits as she has barely any in 6-9 month size. I suppose I'd get told off by the "non-essential" trolley police for daring to buy clothes in the supermarket. 🙄
They had pretty much everything on my list but still no flour!! DH told my MIL, who then got obsessed and decided to try and find a mill that would deliver to us. 😂 🤷♀️ Well - she succeeded 😮 and is getting some big bags of flour sent to us. 😂 I think she wanted to be helpful and for once she was so that was good. I'll have to remember to message her with effusive thanks or she'll fall out with me. 👀
I left Mr M's about 8:45am and there was no queue then so I probably could have went a bit later. It's hard to predict when the busy times will be - I was talking to the lady on the till and she said earlier is definitely better though as the shelves are better stocked and there is less of a queue outside.
On my way home I dropped off some parcels that needed to be returned at the post office so we will get the refunds through. When I got home I made carrot and lentil soup for lunch and DS was quite happy to eat it. He enjoyed his tiger bread from the supermarket even more though. 😂 So that used up a good amount of carrots but I still have quite a few.
I managed to wash a load each of DS's and DD's clothes too. It was raining so no line drying for that.
Dinner was the leftover slow cooker chilli with tortilla crisps, sour cream, guacamole and cheese. It was really yummy and the chilli always tastes better after a day. 😋
DH spoke to one of the GP's at our practice over the phone and has a line for 2 weeks for his back. She said it sounds like a muscle strain. He has also been video chatting with our chiropractor and she has given him some exercises to help stretch his back out. I talked to the chiropractor today as well as my usual niggly pain in my back has reappeared in the last few days and is pretty painful. 😔 It happens when my pelvis is out of position and although yoga can help, the only thing that will fix it is being adjusted by the chiropractor. It doesn't help that I'm having to do the majority of lifting and bending with the kids, although DH helps when he can I don't want him damaging his back even more.
Today I managed 25 mins of yoga in the morning and have done two washings, one hung out, dried and put away. The other was towels and I hate the way they go all hard when they air dry so I chucked them in the TD as usual. 👀
My friend left two big bags of clothes for DD on the doorstep that are now two small for her DD. So I probably won't need to buy much more for DD clothes wise. 🍻 She's given me loads of clothes as they get so little wear at that age. I'm really grateful and some of it is brand new!
Poor DS has been really emotional lately, he keeps bursting out crying over silly things. I don't know if he's picking up on the tension around him but he's been quite grumpy and tired too (despite sleeping well at night). Maybe he's just sick of the sight of us!!
That reminds me - DD slept from 11pm last night until 8am this morning. 🥳 I doubt she'll do it again any time soon but I can hope. 🤣 It was nice not having to get up at 4am!
I trialled a new night nappy with DS last night - it was a two parter - a bamboo shaped nappy with Velcro tabs and a waterproof cover that poppered on over the top. I used two boosters as well as the built in booster pad and a fleece liner and there were no leaks this morning. 🥳 It was quite bulky, he had a massive nappy bum 😂 but he wasn't woken up by wet pjs and sheets so it was worth it. 👍 Think I'll get a few more and when he doesn't need them anymore DD can have them. 😊Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Ooh I forgot to mention that the window cleaners came the other day and did our first (free) clean. 😁 They spent ages scrubbing our upstairs windows and the doors so they must have been very dirty. 😳
DH actually turned round and said that I was right to have got us added to their round. Shock horror, after his wee tantrum when I said I'd agreed to them doing the windows. 😂 The windows look soooo much better now. 👏
Also forgot to mention that I found fungus gnats 🤮 in my cucumber and courgette seed trays and one of my houseplants upstairs. So I got rid of the infected compost and replanted the seeds, the houseplant has been banished to a separate room and I'll repot that when I have time.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Good news about the nappy but laughing at his nappy bum 🤣
I don’t think I’d recognise fungus gnats if I saw them 😱 Hopefully you’ve solved the problem.Hooray to nice clean windows 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
