You're managing to fit a lot in with a new baby and young son. Yoga is really good for the core so well done if you can keep it up. So impressed with your survey/online earnings just wow :j

Hi SA, thanks. :) I must admit the surveys can be time consuming but I often have the tablet out when I'm sitting on the couch so might as well try and earn a bit of money. I love to read though so try and balance my online time with some reading. DS already refers to my kindle as "Mummy's book" and brings it to me every morning. :rotfl:

I really enjoy yoga so I need to try my best to keep it up, surely 30 mins every second evening isn't asking too much. I know I will get lazy but need to force myself to do it as I always feel better for it.

I keep getting styes in one of my eyes - can feel another one starting and this will be the third one in 3 weeks. :( Really sore. Apparently stress and lack of sleep can cause them, so no wonder I'm getting them really.

I also have a sore patch of skin on my ring finger and have had to leave my rings off. It's a recurring problem where the skin goes all scaly, red and itchy and it only clears up with steroid cream.

DD has been unsettled again tonight, she woke up an hour after going to bed again. :( She seems to be getting bad trapped wind again, will have to get the gripe water out as that seems to help.

Have had a lazy day today on the couch with DS and DD, both being quite clingy. DD just wanted to be held so DS then wanted to cuddle up to us both. DH was sanding and painting the new door into the garage conversion. Our joiner is back tomorrow to restart work on it. :j

All I managed to do today was a couple of washings, some dish washing and a quick hoover in the living room. Upstairs needs hoovered tomorrow and the bathrooms still need cleaned. Will also need to get DS's stuff organised for his sleepover at my mum's. I hope he's ok, am a bit worried but think he'll be fine as he loves seeing his gran.

DH wasn't happy with me last night because he wanted to go out for lunch with his friends on one of the days when his mum is up visiting (MIL due in just under 2 weeks) and I said no, he couldn't just leave me with her and the kids when she was up visiting.

His answer was "well you're going out the night she arrives". Yes let's just ignore the fact that she's his mum and might, you know, want to see her only son and focus on the fact that I'm going out. He also generally goes out twice as much as I do so he really has no right to moan that I said he couldn't go out this one time.

We still need to clear a path from the door to the bed and the actual bed in the spare room so blinking MIL actually has somewhere to sleep. Could really do without this visit.

Should really get to bed, not doing very well with my aim of going to bed earlier.

Can you give DH some gripe water too - might stop him griping :)

:rotfl: SA, good idea. :rotfl: He hasn't brought it up since to be fair, so think he's accepted that I'm right about it.

Managed to do another 30 mins of yoga last night, was feeling really stiff after the other night. So unfit.

DS had a great time staying over at my mum's, when I left him there last night he just went "Bye Mummy!" and was totally not bothered. :rotfl: I thought there might have been a screaming fit so that was great. :)

DD slept a lot better last night and so far tonight she's doing well. I did give her a tiny bit of baby porridge tonight with her bottle at dinner time so will see how she gets on with that.

She was very good getting her jag today, only one plus oral drops rather than the 3 she had last time. Next lot are due in another 4 weeks.

Housework has been minimal again, mostly just some washings being put on, thrown into the TD and put away.

Need to declutter and tidy the drawer of my dressing table as there is a lot of old makeup that probably needs binned. I went through the nail polish this morning so part of it has been done.

Conversion going well, brickie due at the weekend and plasterer next week. :T

Thanks Beanie, I can't wait until it's finished as it means we can move all the boxes that are everywhere upstairs and can set up DS's new room. :j We can then move DD's stuff into DS's old room as it will then be hers. The mess is stressing me out and I keep buying storage boxes. :o I've had to stop because I think I'm getting carried away.

DH was worrying about not having enough money to cover the remainder of things that need doing in the conversion but after sitting down and working it out he said it looks ok. He is going to put some extra money from this pay aside just in case though.

I managed to get my dressing table drawer tidied and threw out the old old makeup. :o I also moved some less elderly stuff into my bathroom with the makeup I use regularly so I remember to use it. I seem to have lots of eyeshadow although I rarely use it.

Found some hand cream, soap and a bath bomb from my birthday in a gift box that I'd forgotten about. So moved those into the big bag where I keep all my nice toiletries so I can see what I have and use it all up.

Put all my hair things (bobbles, hairbands, clips, kirby grips) into a decorative box so they're all together as well.

I bought some £8 black jeggings in Mr A's the other day, need to try on all of my jeans/jeggings and see how they fit now. I have a real problem with jeans gaping at the back if I'm squatting or leaning/bending down (as I often do with young kids) and really don't like flashing my pants or even worse a builder's bum if I have to do it in public. Or there are the pairs that are fine standing up but give me muffin top when I sit down. :o I have so many pairs of jeans/jeggings that are just not quite right.

Managed another 50 mins of yoga last night and have quite sore arms now as there were a few planks and vinyasas. Enjoyed it though and definitely feel that my posture has improved and I'm holding myself better already.

Cleaned the bathrooms today and added some more clothes to the charity bag pile. Still have quite a few things to go through, I have so many items of clothing that I don't wear so I really should get rid of them.

Nearly forgot to mention that our grey bin (general rubbish bin) was eaten by the bin lorry yesterday when it was being emptied.:mad: So now we have no bin! Luckily our neighbours across the road saw it happen otherwise we wouldn't have known where our bin had disappeared to. Neighbour said the binmen just shrugged and carried on!

DH phoned the council and they will send out another one but it could take as long as 3 weeks! So we just have to pile our rubbish up in the garden or take it to the dump ourselves in the meantime. That is dire when we have 2 kids in nappies.

Hi Beanie, it's so difficult to get jeans that fit properly - very annoying. Still need to try on all of mine and see what can go.

Was busy yesterday, cleaned out the cat litter trays, did a couple of washings, hoovered upstairs and in the living room, shredded paperwork and made Thai green curry and coconut rice for dinner. DS loves rice so he was in his element. The recipe made far too much so have frozen the rest in 2 tubs.

Also managed 25 mins of yoga but it was ab based so had to have a couple of rests because I currently have no abs. :rotfl:

DD was in her bed for 7pm, we're back to 3/4 hours between her waking again, so first night must have been a fluke. I'm up with her at least twice a night and sometimes once before going to my bed as well.

She'll get there in time but I miss sleeping for longer than 4 hours at a time! Have got her in a baby sleeping bag now as she's big enough and it stops her kicking the blanket off and getting cold feet. She was also struggling out of the swaddle to get her arms out so thought the sleeping bag would be better. DS loved his so have several in different sizes that DD can now use. :T

Have ordered my seed potatoes to be delivered in early March - got Charlotte and Picasso varieties this time. Have had a look through the seeds I have and only really need to buy cucumber seeds. I don't think we'll bother with tomatoes this year.

Hoping to grow courgettes, cucumbers, runner beans and jalapeños as well as the potatoes. Also have the raspberry canes and gooseberry bushes - raspberries produced well last year even with DS stealing them through the netting but the birds got all of the gooseberries. Might grow some salad leaves too but not sure what, if anything, else would be easy and not too time consuming to grow.

The bulbs I planted have started to show shoots both in the pots and in the front garden. :T Can't wait to get back out into the garden in the spring, just hope the rain isn't as constant as it has been. My winter pansies are also starting to flower so at least there's a bit of brightness in the garden.

Both kids are napping at the same time for once just now. :j Won't last long but will enjoy it while it does last. :)

I used to have the same problem with jeans until I started buying stretchy skinny jeans from Sainsburys, now they fit perfectly. For my make up/toiletries storage I bought one of those hairdressers type trolleys on wheels with the drawers which is working very well.

We used to grow a lot of our own veg but stopped when Mr SA was ill. Sounds like you've got some good plans for yours.

  • Your garden plans sound organised. I have a seed catalogue waiting my attention but hard not to get carried away . Regarding salad leaves, mixed lollo rosso make a colourful and tasty salad lettuce.
