May be worth considering a change. For insurers, the Corsa is the stereotypical 'boy racer' car (which unfortunately you've proven to be the case!).
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

If bike insurers ask if I had my insurance cancelled previously does that apply to all insurances? Including car insurance ?
  • I believe the questions is the same and deliberately non-specific.So you have the same apparent issue.

Consider - a home insurer is just as interested if a person was convicted of fraudulently claiming from a travel insurer or saw their policy cancelled. Car to motorbike = same thing.

They will access the same databases as the car insurers and these are often one and the same anyway.

Again a broker may help you find and insurer who will accept your recent misdemeanour.

PS I see you meant motorbike not pedal bike now!
I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.

Insurers pose the questions, and you need to answer them truthfully as advised throughout this thread.

So if the question asks (as they usually do) something like "Have you ever had any insurer cancel a policy etc" then the answer is yes

Should you find one that asks something like "Have you ever had a bike policy cancelled by an insurer etc" then if you haven't you can answer "no".
  • PW333 Yours is a sad story. You have really been caught out by the Blackbox but don't be tempted to make things worse by withholding or giving false information. The most important thing here is the potential risk to anybody you injured in the unlikely event of having a serious accident and your insurance being invalid.
Your best bet is one of the traditional brokers where you are dealing with real people rather than online etc.. It's not clear whether you have got any motoring offence registered on your licence: If so insurance is going to prohibitively expensive anyway. You may be able to get some good advice by speaking to one of the Insurance companies that sell direct like LV or E-sure. It won't be easy you will need to be persistent.

    More unnecessary scaremongering.

There is no 'potential' risk at all to anyone injured by an uninsured driver.

All policyholders contribute to the mib uninsured driver scheme which pays out to anyone injured by an uninsured driver!

    Yep!

I have checked insurance for a motorbike on most popular insurance's and some don't ask the Cancelation question which is good in my situation.

By the way insurance for a 125 YZF Yamaha came to £1,600 Comp & £1,000 Third Party Only.

    .
You need to check something else!

This matter of cancelled policies is often not covered by a specific question.

Many insurers use a "catch all" set of assumptions covering certain circumstances which applicants are asked to agree (if they cannot agree to the insurers assumptions then they cannot be covered by those companies)

These assumptions will include wording long the lines of "No-one to be covered by this policy has ever had a policy cancelled by an insurer......etc"

Always check the assumptions and be sure you can agree to them or you will find yourself in the same situation as you would were you to lie in answer to a specific question!

No way are you going to ride a sports style 125 and not speed. Get a grumpy granddad type 125 such as the charming looking ...
