Good luck with it all bobobski ! Maybe being busy at work is a good thing at the moment stop you thinking/worrying so much about the house situation. Hope the structural problems aren't too serious and can get sorted.

Hello, being at work is good but you need to check how serious the problems are and how much it will cost to put them right and the time it must be done by. Houses cost money from the day you move in - you still have time to pull out if it isn't worth it. It sounds like you think the same thing as me. My house cost loads to put right but I don't regret it and love it now and will never ever move. Have a good day. Hope the weather is nice by you. I am leaving now to go to town.

Good point SW, but it's been established that it's the landlord's responsibility (the landlord has admitted that in writing) and the insurance will cover it. The problem is that the landlord isn't actually doing anything, but still, it would mean I wouldn't have to pay to put the problem right.

    Hi guys

So so sorry for the radio silence. My routine has been completely turned on its head since moving into a shared house - it's so sociable that I'm hardly ever at my computer, which is quite refreshing!

Just a quick update to let you know that the house purchase fell through this week due to the lender's unhappiness with the proposal to fix the potential structural problems. A blessing in disguise, no doubt. So now I'm back to square one, with no rush which is nice. I'm also INCREDIBLY grateful to SYA for the buyer's protection insurance recommendation - saved me hundreds, that did!!

I hope everyone's well and I'll do my best to catch up properly soon xx

Hi bobobski sorry to hear the house purchase fell through but as you say maybe its for the best if there is structural damage. I'm glad the insurance helped and good to hear you've been so busy with your social life
