Re: decluttering, oh Melanzana I feel your pain! Starting is one thing, but unless you have unlimited time and energy it gets a lot worse before it gets better! My side of the bed is now ok, but the other side of the room, not to speak of the Room of Doom, are unbearable. I am typing this in the RoD and trying not to look at the paperwork on the table, laundry hanging from Dh's old drawing board, piles and boxes of books and goodness knows what else...does it ever end?

    Hi Caterina,

Now that the rubble has moved from one room to the other it gives me hope looking at the cleared out room!

So we have said ONE week to clear it all out and I am hopefully going to do it.

Not hoarders at all, but it just seems to creep up on you without noticing!

So off it goes. Hopefully, ah but it will. Has to now that the spare bedroom is full of tat and it is also needed for visiting family in a fortnight !

    I like deadlines.

Oooh very boho, love that look but just can't carry it off. I have found the secret of a long and very happy marriage is a big house with two tellies lol. We have very different tastes but get together occasionally for a reet good gritty northern drama - think Happy Valley - phenomenal. Right, time to rinse off the dye, might be really adventurous and shave me legs an all.....
. Well do have a big house and a second telly but I can never be bothered to go and watch it, and we do have a pretty good (no ones perfect) marriage, nearly thirty one years

Hi Missile and Melanzana, lovely to meet you. Thanks for the link Missile, don't remember that series on telly, when was it on?
    Thanks for the welcome.
Close to the Enemy was on BBC and you can catch the last two episodes on iPlayer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b082sy3q/episodes/player

Oooo, Close to the Enemy is brilliant, we watched each and every episode on catch up, it felt like a treat waiting to watch the next one each time. Loved the way it ended, too.

Unfortunately I don't have ITV catch up on my TV so would have to watch on the laptop, or rig it up to the TV, but if it is worth it I will do it.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

If your TV has an HDMI port, may I suggest you consider the Amazon Firestick. firestick with kodi fully loaded
£34.99 would give you access to all of the catch up and many other channels and movies for free.

Oh I got the Kodi firestick but for some reason it wouldn't work so got Netflix instead, wonder if it's on there. Oh god, day from hell, had to go to the pub straight after work, roll on retirement eh? Never gonna lose weight at this rate

Delicious on itv is good as well, quite enjoying it. How's the decluttering going?

Isn't in windy? My wind chimes kept waking me up last night, I thought it was me alarm going off lol.

Right, off to investigate Netflix now
  • Oh you made me smile dorothy52 saying about your wind chimes waking you up.But yes it was so windy today, I went to knit and natter this morning at our local library, less than ten mins walk from my house, it took me much longer as the wind was so strong, my woolly hat blew off. Afterward I went to visit my D in L and Grands it was great to see them all,I had been knitting for the young ones, now I can start on my next project, woolly hats for the coming cold weather. Was glad to get back before dark have tea and chill!
