Morning everyone. Welcome newbies. Thanks for the list Natty. I am in sort of, ankle permitting. My plan for today:

    Take down decs
Dust bits I haven't been able to get to because of decs
    Hoover through
    Wash dog beds

Obviously this is a bit optimistic with limited movement. DD and her fiance are coming round to walk the dogs for me today as they haven't been out since Friday, and they are taking me to lunch somewhere that has a car park so I don't have to walk much.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Hi all and happy new year!
I'm another lurker but I've followed the FlyLady website for a number of years with varying degrees of success! Hopefully this way might work a little better for me.

[STRIKE]Planning on taking tree down and giving living room a quick once over[/STRIKE]. Done as DH did it!
    [STRIKE]kitchen level 1[/STRIKE]. Done
[STRIKE]Also need to sort and clean playroom ready for childminded children to come back tomorrow. [/STRIKE]Done (apart from dining room table which is covered with stuff!)

All got to be done this morning as we are heading out for lunch. Better get on with it then!
Also managed to do 2 loads of washing.

    Morning all

Bit ugh this morning as dreamt about sis so was 'confused' when I woke, if you get my drift. Was lovely to 'see' her though.

Can't get up to any mischief today as am carless. (Spring cracked and punctured tyre).

    So plan to

Clean kitchen etc as per list
    Take down decs
    Update finances *wince*
    Peg out washing
    Iron
    Clean out Benny Bunny
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

    Morning all, I am in.

Valli I think you are entitled to feel fragile, hope today is better x

DS2s 16th birthday today so it's another holiday day for us. Going to the shops then out for lunch. DS1 said late last night that he might be able to swap shifts and come with us.

Then back to real life tomorrow. Have never dreaded going back to work as much as this. It just makes sense to stick it out for now so I have got to get on with it.
  • Morning all,

Thank you so much for the lists, I am well and truly in. Went to bed at 8.30 last night, feeling better for it today, I'm a dirty stop out aren't I :p

As well as the list, I have at least 3 loads of washing to do, need to take down all the decorations, de-poo the back garden and make DHs meals for working away this week. Oh and book his accommodation. I am looking forward to this year so much, I have set myself some massive goals and feel pretty good about achieving them. 2016 was awful for us in so many ways, but I learned a lot and hope those lessons stand us in good stead.

YL - happy birthday to your DS. I hope your meal out takes your mind off work. Do you have a timeframe in mind for how much longer you will stick it out before moving on? Hating work is dreadful, my last job was well paid, professional etc etc but I was physically sick every Sunday night and Monday morning. Packed in all in when my dad died suddenly - I went from £45k a year to being poor as a church mouse but I was so so much happier xx

Tea needed have lovely days all xx

(((Hugs))) Valli. It's disconcerting the first time you dream about someone who's gone, but it is always lovely to see them again. Fingers crossed for the tyre guarantee - you never know.

Welcome Cat4772, Lauralozzle and CowboyMum! This is the only system that's ever worked for me, and it's changed my life. Thoroughly recommend it.

Enjoy your lunch, Jazee and have some more *healing vibes* for your ankle.

Paperwork clearning is going well here and order has been created out of absolute chaos in that department, filing half done and the rest will be done today. I'll work my way through the listy today too, because we've got eight for dinner on Saturday and the last thing I want to be doing on Friday and Saturday is sorting out a manky kitchen and dining room on top of cooking so thanks for the list, Natty, and last week's Valli.
    Better is good enough.

Thanks for the lists Valli and Natty. I'm feeling a little better today so hopefully will get a little flying done. All being well I'll build up as the week goes on.
One of the great things about regular flying is that when I get too ill to do anything the house still looks pretty good.
Valli- I hope your feeling of disorientation dissolves quickly. Big hugs to you. Are you a crafter/ sewer at all?

    Morning ladies

We are currently south-bound returning skids after DH's birthday and NYE. Enjoyed an hilarious party even though I wasn't drinking and a relatively stress-free day yesterday. Stuck a beef stew in the oven to slow cook all day, which was yummy and got started with clearing all the Christmas carp away.

I am looking forward to this year too ATB - lots of plans being made and feeling very upbeat.

Dreaming about lost loved ones keeps our memories alive Valli - I think it is North American Indians who belive that a person is not truly gone until everyone who remembered them has passed too. X
