Ooh enjoy Jersey. It’ll feel like a freebie if using your last over cash.
Glad your day gets to enjoy his special birthday and holiday before the treatment starts.
I’m spending far too much time on social media at the moment - something I want to address in the long term after I’ve had my arm sorted. It is quite scary how long I spend staring at screens at the moment. Really missing my knittingJanuary spends - £587.580 -

Another hectic week has been and gone , the one coming up is a bit calmer. I accompanied parents to 2 appointments this week , I don't think we have many more now for a few weeks. In fact my parents have booked a last minute holiday and are flying away 2 weeks today to Spain. I love them doing this they so deserve their holidays .
Today there are 14 of us going out for Sunday lunch to celebrate DS big birthday on Tuesday , he is then going on holiday with his friends to celebrate. I am wondering whether son in law will put in an appearance , we shall see.
Money wise everything ticking over as normal , hoping to be left with a few pounds to squirrel away for holiday spends . Have had a few surveys on PA , but not for huge amounts.
The DGC are a great tonic and always make me laugh, DGS had to be a crayon for world book day and DGD was a caterpillar. A friend of mine made a great outfit for her granddaughter, wish I was as talented .
Need a shopping list for Aldi and maybe start the ironing. The water board are filling a hole in the pavement and making lots of noise , everyone will be up soon.
Have a good week everyone. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I hope you had a wonderful lunch with your family yesterday Cumbria. I hope your SIL felt he was well enough to attend and is conquering his problems.
You seem to have everything under control - three breaks to look forward to !:j. I went to Jersey last when I was 17 so it's probably changed a bit since then! DSis and OH went there a couple of years ago for a weekend break and raved about it.
I'm glad to read to that your parents have booked some time away. Will do them good.
Bah to the water board digging outside your place so early. I had workman tarmacing the road outside mine until midnight one night last week. Flashing lights and everything. Couldn't get to sleep at all until they'd gone!
Enjoy the rest of your week and post soon if you can

Another week passed by , took mum to have her feet injected today , she has these to help with arthritis ( I think ) . She goes every couple of months , she is very active and these keep her going. Parents can't wait to get away next weekend to some sun.
DS had his birthday and is now in the sun, SIL came to family meal but could see he was struggling, he left the restaurant at some point , but at least he came .
The DGC have been gifted a robot , it's rather large but great fun . The dog isn't so sure though !
Today my hoover has blown up in a puff of smoke, the toaster broke in week and my iron gave up the ghost last Sunday. Ordered all three items and they are all coming tomorrow, thank goodness for the EF. I have bought a cordless hoover , can't wait to try it.
My new job is going well, my new colleague maybe young but she is very hard working and a pleasure to work with .
I have taken on some extra volunteer work for the next few months until September, it interests me and is on weekday evenings. Not sure how many evenings yet but not every week so am looking forward to it.
Tomorrow is the usual shopping and ironing , if my new iron arrives in time. Payday is Monday and need to complete budget for month , everything looks ok though.
Thank you for dropping by , I hope the rain stops sometime soon. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
