Also have to say the last few months have been eye opening , to realise that if you budget you can survive without buying non essential things. I haven't added to my debt and I have been able to still enjoy a social life . I still realise though how easy it is to slip back to old ways , so the spending diary is back in my bag as it has gone by the wayside in the last few weeks.

I have no more holidays planned , I have been away for 10 days and 2 weekends this year . I am sure to go to friends again , but am hoping to stay close to home this summer. Someone has recently come back in my life who I hope to spend time with. He has moved very close by !

Personally I would pay it off. Only if you're disciplined enough to put it into a savings account and LEAVE it there would I recommend that. I know what I'm like so would rather have the satisfaction of the debt gone.

Lucielle I am going to keep it in my account for the time being . I think once first credit card is under £1000 I will pay it off.

I can be very disciplined as I have told my family I have the money so would never spend it .

If you can be disciplined I would continue to save the £50 in your emergency fund providing no interest being charged on the credit card. Just make sure it is paid off before deal expires.

Enthusiastic saver, I think that I will go with what you say , carry on saving the money to EF , it's good to have a couple of months bills to fall back on.

Shopping list done, off to Mr A when he opens , looks as though will come in under budget. Hoping for 5 NSD this week . Let's see.

Shopping in budget £26.39 including a bunch of flowers for a friend who needs cheering up.

Off to to some batch cooking as room in freezer. Then a walk with a flask of coffee , very MSE.

Cooking all done, off for the walk now . Enjoying being at home and not rushing everywhere .

Items finished on EBay made about £9 so far ,will make extra payment to smallest credit card.

Two NSD apart from a donation of £10 to manchester appeal.

Live only 4 miles from the Manchester Arena , proud to be a Mancunian today . Still can't believe what has happened and so sad for the people who aren't ever coming home again.

Still feeling of disbelief in my beloved home town. Went to lay flowers last night , cut from my parents garden . Very surreal atmosphere.

On the money front I am off on leave now hoping for no spend day today apart from sending parcels from mr e .

Made about £11 so will transfer once parcels received by buyers.

Off to have an hour outside in the sun.
