Free lunch yesterday courtesy of my lovely friend. Spent £3 on light bulbs.

Note to self , don't book weekend away before going on holiday ! This months pay is being juggled as all guesswork on the spends, food and petrol front. The last month has been ok but hard work to stay in budget. Just used to getting the credit card out, still not used it though.

Looking forward to normal budgeting in May and getting back to over payments . Two weeks today fly off to Cyprus, so need the break.

    Happy Easter everyone.

Lovely afternoon with the family. Received 100 Euros as a gift from parents , for my hols. That will make my budget this month a little easier.

Full up now with roast dinner and chocolate

Will see how we go. Back to work today .

Thank you parsniphead , payday was good. All pots look healthy again, yesterday and today are NSD . I am taking some money tomorrow in cash for the weekend. Accommodation is free as staying with friends. Filled up with petrol and may have to get more before the return journey . Fingers crossed budget goes ok.

    Work today though.

Off on weekend away today , leaving later in the day.

Both cc payments gone across and will update signature shortly, but since starting this diary I have paid off £580 , which to some is a small amount but to me it is more than 10% . New total is £5390 .

After holidays going to get back on more overpayments and try and get below the £5000. Nothing added to the debt , I have a very small emergency fund , but am living on my budget.

Have enjoyed a fabulous long weekend away.

    Spending has been ok.

£5.36 at service station for drink and sandwich!
£25.90 afternoon tea gift for hosts.
£3.49 sun tan lotion for upcoming holiday.
    £8.09 coffee stop and cake.
    £5.65 coffee stop
£5.49 Pyjamas for present for child.

Not so bad, plus didn't need to do an extra fill up with petrol either way. Will need petrol tomorrow though.

My holiday is for 10 days, it was a combined Birthday/Christmas present from my parents. I didn't really need anything else. They are very generous on occasions this was one for which I am grateful. I have saved all the money for spends since Christmas. Haven't done many overpayments on cc to fund the spends and used any extra from all the different pots.

I am exceptionally lucky to have friends in 2 beautiful parts of the uk who I can visit for free. They stay with me as well during the year, so it works well.

Blue eyed have a great holiday.
