Oh dear , shopping went well over budget today due to running out of everything in the same week. Spent £39.42 instead of £30 but still in budget for the month so not so bad.
Had a little spend with grandson at bakery £3.50 .
Lovely weekend and Mothers Day.
Have a next gift card , I can spend that without feeling guilty as it was my gift for Mother's Day .0 -
Colleague has done SOA and is now getting help from StepChange with her debts , have left her with it now as she is slightly embarrassed at asking me for help. I have told her to read some diaries on here and she will see that she is not alone.
On the money front slightly worried about next months budget , have to fund a weekend away and some more holiday spends , taxi to airport etc. My main holiday spends I have.
Still have time to sort this out as hoping to have money left in shopping budget and spends , no nights out for the foreseeable. Easter is in the middle of this as well , will do spring cleaning at home instead of going out spending money !0 -
Although payday isn't till the 18th April , I am spending sometime trying to sort out my budget for the next month . I don't want to be short after my holiday and weekend away. Would have normally used credit card for any shortfall but that's all in the past.
Would rather stay in for a month than use a card !0 -
Why did I worry , on checking finances I nearly forgot I have a holiday fund ! i will be using that to top up my spends if needed.
Life is good !0 -

Oh dear spending has gone awry.
30/3/2017 Next spent £19 on 4 items of holiday clothing at outlet total bargains, paid for with gift card for Mother's Day.
30/3/17 Snack during shopping £5.29
31/03/17 soft play area £5.65 and lunch £9.00
31/03/17 Halfords Car Seat for grandson £60
01/04/17 Waxing £11
01/04/17 Bakery £1.25
02/04/17 Aldi shopping £22.26
02/04/17 ice cream cones x4 £2
02/04/17 Gym membership £25
0204/17 Petrol £35.17
Thankfully have used money from different pots, have had to dip into EF for car seat but it was on offer and was needed.
Have changed gyms now and will be saving £12 per month.
I will now have to really watch what I am spending and Easter will definitely have be a very low spend weekend.0 -
Good news on the gym saving! I've recently cancelled mine, deciding now the weather is getting better I could get outside to exercise. So far, it hasn't happened once!0

Dotty I had the same idea , but sadly I failed so going to the gym near home and hope to go at least 3 times a week. I have missed my sessions and it's only been 3 weeks since I last went .
Parsniphead thank you for your comments , my diary is helping me immensely stay focussed .0
