It's been a long day at work but not as bad as feared. Have spent not a penny today.
Lovely to see a friend posting again after a short absence.

Hi Cumbria! - it's good to catch up with your goings on! You sound like you've had some lovely times with the GC over the holidays.
Well done as well for losing Sky! I can't bring myself to get rid of it - wish I was more like you! I'm going to give it a go at reducing the cost though as I'm out of my last contract with them.
Glad to see that your relaxed about your debt. As you say as long as it's gone by the time you're 60. Concentrate for now on Oz and Christmas - they'll be here before we know it!

I think I can learn from your approach Cumbria. You are right. We all have to enjoy life whilst striving for various goals.
Well done on the NSD. I had one too today. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Had dad at the hospital yesterday for appointment, he has skin cancer up near his eye , so needs that sorting in the next few weeks. He takes it all in his stride , he isn't fazed by anything.
Three NSDs this week, turned a night out down last night , it was in an expensive city centre restaurant, felt a bit tight not going but couldn't really justify it. The photos looked great of my friends , ah well .
Tomorrow is last day of school holiday childcare for both DGC , we are going to a park a few miles away and taking great gran with us .

I hope your dad's treatment sorts it out for him. A shame you had to miss the night out but sometimes it's just too expensive.

Echoing Hairy and hope all goes well for Dad. Funnily enough my Dad had exactly the same when he was in his 70s. All went well though and he just ended up with a few stitches.
Bah on missing out with your pals, but hey - there'll be other nights! Keep thinking of Oz!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thank, you SSG and HH for reassuring words.
Friday was a lovely day with the DGD and great gran. I will miss DGS when he returns to school tomorrow. Great gran paid for everything so thst was a great help to me.
Woke up yesterday full of a cold and a headache that hasn't gone yet. I have functioned through the weekend but only just.
Shopping was £23.12 this morning and I need petrol but will get near work as it is cheaper. I have renewed my car insurance today and had a nightmare . I took out a policy with a company by mistake I pressed the wrong quote . Being half with it is my excuse. The company called Go Skippy , I thought I would check to see if they were ok , well no they sound quite horrendous. Spent last night worrying about getting my £272 back. Called up this morning at 9am to cancel and they are charging me £25 for having a policy not due to start for another 3 weeks and for 13 hours online. I just hope I do get my money back. I have now insured with Direct Line who I wanted to be with in the first place £292. The policy was £80 cheaper than my renewal and is better .
My breakdown cover is also up for renewal but have had email saying the payment has been rejected . Could have been on an old credit card I will see tomorrow.
Plusnet are also saying that I am not entitled to my £50 MasterCard for coming to them, so have lodged a complaint with them.
It has been a very stressful time moneywise .Going to sort my lunch out for tomorrow, going to bed extra early in the hope I am ok tomorrow. I have a busy week from Wednesday onwards so need to be in fine fettle .This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
