  • Hi Cumbria - your Lakes trip sounded glorious - it must have been wonderful to get out in the fresh air and take in all the beautiful scenery.

Good news as well on the reimbursement and have a great (but frugal) week!:D

Well done on getting all the insurance money back.

The nights in Oz will be worth not going out with friends. You can do that again but the chance of going to Oz is an occasional (if not once in a lifetime) outing.

It sounds as if all your financial planning is really coming together - you will feel so smug at Christmas:beer::money::j

Well it's ages since I posted (well a few days anyway) . Nothing much has happened , I have been at home in the evenings , had 4 NSD . The £25 refund has hit the credit card leaving me with a credit. Work has been very busy and I have done some long days.

Tomorrow is child minding but little one is poorly , so a quiet day I should imagine . Nearly payday again, budgets have gone ok this month , I have £27 left for shopping which will be enough.

    Not much else to report.

  • Hi there

Just popped in to see your news..

About you missing out on nights out.... How about patting yourself on the back because your trip to Oz is being paid for in advance. It always feels so much worse paying afterwards.

It really infuriates me that we have to make a conscious effort to get a refund when it shouldn't have been charged in the first place. I was very surprised to get a year's refund on my car's service plan because I hadn't done sufficient miles to warrant the final service. The service receptionist mentioned that I could get it otherwise it wouldn't have even have crossed my mind I could.

    Take care honey

Yesterday was very quiet in terms of childcare , DGD was ok but kept wanting cuddles. Met up with another MSE lady and very nice she is , like meeting an old friend after an absence. Am sure we will meet up again.

Today is all about housework well this morning st least. I am hoping to go to town to Primark for cardigans for work later in the day.

    That's it for today.
