Mooloo's Joining up the dots in 2017

i'd agree with the increase Sue suggests at the very least Mooloo but i'd suggest that they won't actually want to pay a realistic price as they will see it as free advertising for you & will want it done in no time at all as it will get left till the last minute once all the rest of the renovation is planned and paid for with little money left in comparison to what they really need. Do not subcontract as it is your reputation, such a job I wouldn't want that in the hands of someone else.
I'd angle more towards gracefully bowing out, I know it would be good exposure but curtains are not your core work, your arm has really struggled when you have done large domestic sets previously & town hall curtains are going to be massive!!
With it being a public space i'd expect fire retardant rules to likely come into play too.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps0 -
I will see what the brief is and quote accordingly. The fabrics can be treated for fire regulations. I realise that my arm would cause me some grief, but I do have my daughter and could pace the job if I do get it. We have until June, so I could spread the work over several weeks. I will see what is involved before I bow out. The eventual income could really boost the budget especially after Christmas.
I know two ladies that specialise in curtains who do it from home, they could possibly be people to ask to help. We will see.
If I think it's beyond me, I will bow out, but at the moment she I will see what is involved, and if my calculations etc and price gets accepted.
It would be prestigious for the business if I am able to do the work. So I won't say no yet.
Bf helped me with the large curtains that I made last year, which was a great help.
I am going to be busy all week as we have had such a lot of work in through the books since Thursday we have had 26 tickets, and most have several items on each ticket. I have also a lot of paperwork to catch up on..
My friend who's son comes to play has suggested that we could pick each other's kids up one day a week, and save a days after school club fees, as she has Tuesdays off and I have Wednesdays. I said I would think about it, as we would have to give them notice, sonit wouldn't be until after the holidays as I have been invoiced until then.
Which reminds me that I have DGDs birthday, in 8 days, Biggests in 19 and half term soon.
I better get my finger out and get Dgd something other than the phone I have for her. Mind you with her breaking her glasses, and only one voucher, already used, I think that I may be having to be creative!

Busy as expected today. Been doing accounting all evening. Finally catching up with my month.
Banked £320 Today, needed so I could pay myself something this week. Staff were paid yesterday but I had to wait.
I am trying to get the cash flow sorted but it doesn't help when customers don't collect their things. We do try to get payment up front but can't always.
Dgd had tea round her friends. She's lost a tooth tonight eating a toffee.
Now I need to find a £ for it! Or tell her fairy doesn't exist!!

Today is the confrontation day with DS!
I have had enough, Biggest has had enough, and we are going to get together and try one last time to get him to face his debt. Realise that he is not going to survive if he continues to ignore his responsibilities!
I am not looking forward to it.
Mum is not very well, I need to get a little bit of shopping for her.
I bought a new lock for the shop, and extra keys for it. I will fit it tomorrow.
(Or try).
I have visited the hair dressers where the other seamstress used to work above, and they will give out my cards.
I did go to see the Wool shop, but she is closed on Wednesday.
I delivered some appliqu! letters a lady ordered, and while in town one of my old customers was walking to my shop, so I ended up going to open up for him, as he was on his way to me. I did tell him many times before that I am shut on a Wednesday but I didn't have the heart to make him come back tomorrow.
I discussed with the DIY shop, having their Dylon stand when they close next month. I have been asked to sell it before but didn't because they sold it, but now he is closing its another avenue for us.
Time to move on the washing, and then go shopping. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hope goes well with your DS.

DS didn't turn up.
I am at my whits end with him, also a Sky debt has appeared on my doorstep for him today.
I am at the stage where I want to disown him. I am hugely disappointed in him.
Biggest is struggling, and I am not surprised she's had enough of him too.
Her husband has been told that there has been a change to the way he gets paid and the expenses he was expecting this week is not now going to be paid at all. Several thousand pounds detrimental to their budget.
It's like another kick when down.
School has just telephoned me to say that somebody has raised concerns about Dgd and inappropriate behaviour in the pub gardens. Why tell the school today? Why not come and tell me at the time? Some people have no sense!
It's a bit difficult to deal with an incident a week later?
Now I will have to try to deal with it, via hearsay, gossip etc instead of at the time, while it was happening (if indeed it was!), and whether it was innocent children banter, actual incident or something more serious?
It also will now mean that because she is a looked after child some body will involve Social Services and Dgd will be interrogated and so will I?
I am fuming now. For both reasons.
I had a key cut for the shop, tested it and it didn't work, took it back, tried it again and it still doesn't work. I will have to go back again now, and Biggest still hasn't got her own key to get in.
I am supposed to be going to a Open for Business meeting tonight, but I am really not in a very good mood.
I called DSs work, he is next due in at 6pm tonight. I am very tempted to wait for him, but the meeting is 5.30 -7.30 so I'd definitely have to forgo the meeting if I went to see DS.
Then I think I am too angry to confront him.

I am sorry.
I have no idea what to say.

Mum took ill last night. Biggest had to call the ambulance. I went straight from my meeting. And went to the hospital with her. She couldn't breathe very well. So she is in an assessment unit, on oxygen, steroids, and a nebuliser when I had to leave her just after 1.30 this morning. Luckily Dgd was already at Biggests, and her friend was there and could babysit them all.
The doctors were not sure what was wrong, but think mum may have COPD
