    Afternoon all,

Funny day so far...we had a 'planned outage' of electricity to-day ...rinsed flasks last night and filled with hot water so that when I got up this am I could boil kettle and at least have water for coffee and tea....what happens? we all sleep late and no current when we wake up, knew that it was off from 9 but was sure someone would be up...had organised dinner of chicken cooked yesterday, potatoes to be finished on barbecue and salad and then the power came back at 2.30.

Spent some time decluttering bedroom again...can only handle short period of time and was hoping to find spare car keys in the process...have discovered that 2 of the old jackets OH wears when he is doing anything outside have gone missing....probably left somewhere by him, have never met his equal for carelessness.

No washing or ironing done...obvious excuse, no hoovering for same reason, if the b***dy sport would finish on tv I might get to give the LR a quick tidy and swipe, not too bad but visitors for lunch to-morrow....maybe OH will go to bed early, Ihave to visit someone in hospital in a while and it would be very convenient if he were gone when I come back...is that mean? Problem is he will offer to do it to-morrow morning and I want to do it to-day....maybe I'll just let him.

Tired Mum...glad that you are feeling better but go for appointment on Tuesday

PenPin...hugs to you and all your family, particularly your sister

Ellie and OH...sorry to hear of job loss...hope things get better for you soon

Hugs for those whose offspring are off to college...they'll be back

Could someone settle something for me....do you really have to clean windows??

    DLB...hugs

Oops...later than I thought...hopefully will check in later

  • No MeanM - we don't have to clean windows if we don't want to! However having DGS's2 last weekend my downstairs windows and doors showing signs of sticky fingers! Will have to get cloth out.

    Well
really successful BBQ for his now ex work colleagues. So successful he is now in bed with THE most impending head in the morning and I am on here. Actually it was lovely to see him relaxing and enjoyimg being with them all --- BUT I dont think he is going to feel all his pistons firing in the morning. Luckily dd1's partner stayed and helped me clear up

ellie2912 we all share our problems but yours seem to need a hug right now xxxxx

    night night everyone

Glad to hear BBQ a success. He deserves to be in bed but will no doubt suffer tomorrow. Did it for DH when it was his 60th in May and post retiral party. We still talk about it!!!!!!!!!

    Love

Hubby did cut the grass whilst I cleaned Thumper & Ogden out. I got a couple of lines full of washing dry as rain is forcast for tomorrow. I've taken up the trousers & will dot the lavender bags tomorrow.

A quick question, I lived a 'double life' for 5 years & when I tell people about it they love it. I'd like to write it all down to share, could I write it in a blog? Or does a blog have to be a diary of current happenings? I did nothing illegal but I'd like a way of sharing my experiences.

    Hugs Hester
