Then I must be a real cheap skate!:rotfl:

I use quality products on my face but am happy with Aldi cream on my neck and then body lotion for the rest. Sometimes, if I use too much, the Clarins goes on my neck but that's not the plan.

I usually only have expensive body lotions if they have been gifts, or if part of a bundle when buying my face stuff. Same here, cheap and cheerful for my neck and the good stuff for face only, any residue goes to neck and backs of hands. My hands are the worst thing about me, 60++ years of being out and about in the fresh air whenever possible without spf and very skinny, bony and veined hands make them even worse. Nothing to be done about it that I do not already do, injections of fat perhaps, but I don't really have any (and wouldn't do it anyway:()

Question for any fitbit users with a model that automatically monitors sleep - do you use the sensitive or normal setting for monitoring sleep?

indiepanda I found exactly the same - sensitive seems to show you've woken up if you twitch; normal sometimes doesn't show me waking if you don't move much - seens there's no happy medium!

Anyway, not a bad day - I can already feel some things becoming closer to being routine.....perfume is for sure. I have also managed body lotion post-bath most days and have lots to use!

Other than that not a lot happening, am out tomorrow so good opportunity to make an effort!

Is it possible the oil has gone off?

I don't think so but I will try again tomorrow and hope the foundation absorbs better.

My skin care guru Caroline Hirons aka Beauty Mouth Blog, advocates using one's luxury/expensive body products down as far as boobs and the more cheap and cheerful stuff for the rest of the body, I include my arms for the good stuff as skin there can be quite dry.

I take whatever face products I am using down my throat as I swear that's showing more signs of ageing than my face now as I didn't always do that. The rest of my body gets the same lotion or creme. Sometimes that might be a more pricey one but not always, though I don't tend to get super cheap ones anyway.

I am more than happy to donate some fat to you for your hands, plenty going spare lol.

I do this too ^^. It's often easy to see that someone's face doesn't quite match the age of their neck, particularly when watching American TV ;) I noticed recently on tv that Wayne Sleep hasn't been using his facial moisturiser on his neck!

My neck and dec look really good for my age, although I don't use my Elemis or Perricone stuff there, but I have used body lotion or when face has been breaking out from allergies I use all the offending products on my neck and have never had any bad reaction, also being fair skinned I never sunbathe, and being anaemic always feel the cold and rarely have skin exposed, other than legs even in the summer:( As mentioned, my hands are awful though, don't forget ladies UV damage can occur even in the car if you regularly drive with the sun on your hands, face etc.

Forgot to update my Monday morning weigh in.... - 2lbs so I'm on track. Already feeling my work trousers a little looser which is motivating.

Perfume and earrings on today with a splash of concealer for my dark circles. That's about as far as it went this morning lol.

Hello everyone, please count me in. Mostly lurking as usual. Happily I had lurked this morning, as I went clothes shopping and bought nothing as a result. I actually tried things on, and put back the 'ok' stuff. I need to invest in things I love, not things that will do.

Maman, glad you like the massage. Its part of my switch off routine now, and it means I am slowly using up my collection of face oils.

Have to admit its my neck and my hands that bother me, starting to stay pinched if that makes sense.

In other news REN Rose oil is my new all time favourite thing ever. Even I just do my arms and hands I can smell it on myself in bed, lovely stuff.

  • Quite a bit of progress to report.

Last night I managed to sort through the box of toiletries and see just how much body lotion etc I have, spurred on to use it.

Today I managed earrings and perfume, and make up when I went out and am currently sitting with my feet in my peeling bags. Not unpleasant but my feet are cold :rotfl:
