Good morning lovely ladies
Well I’m multi tasking...sitting here with a face mask on whilst I write...:D
Chanie...had to smile at your daughters remark....she’s one smart cookie.....her brother doesn’t stand a chance. :rotfl:
Glad to hear you are catching up with your rest SUgarbaby. I slept for nearly 8 hours last night. I feel great this morning, stiff of course but that will wear off. .
Well I had a lovely Weekend. Spend most of Saturday with DS2 whilst his girlfriend was away in Liverpool. We did some sorting out and a tip run then a nice curry in the evening. On Sunday I went to see Paddington. I can thoroughly recommend, it’s lovely.
Yesterday it was the dentist and a nice walk in the park. I am pleased with the progress with my knee. I can walk much further now and faster without using my leg brace so,hopefully I’m getting there. Determined to avoid surgery if I can or at least postpone it.
Today I need to roll up my sleeves and get stuck into some paperwork
And do some housework.......:rotfl:
Have a great day.0 -
Chanie,
Your daughter is very savvy for a 5 year old.Does she take after you in that way?

She does indeed. I also told her that she shouldn't forget that she will need to space for shoes and bags as well.0 -

It is a special kind of pleasure for a Mother to see herself in her daughter
My eldest daughter (35) is a much prettier version of me in terms of which parent she looks like. She smokes, drinks alcohol and she is a total lover of every type of makeup and has enough stock to open her own market stall. She is a clothes, shoes, boots, trainers and bag hoarder to an extraordinary degree, so we may look very alike, but we are also very different.
My younger daughter (25) looks like a very good mixture of me and her Father, but personalty wise we are both much more similar.I like seeing all of the ways in which we are alike on a day to day basis.

Hello Ladies,
I have lost my 1st stone of weight :j:D
I have a long journey with my weight loss, but I am starting as I mean to go on.
I just continue to make my eating more healthy without depriving myself of all the food that I enjoy most. I am being more careful with portion size and doing more home cooking.
I am also making sure that I do more walking and exercise.0 -
sugar well done on your weight loss, that’s amazing news.
I’ve finally booked my ‘me’day for early December. I’ll probsbly do what I normally do, which is a wander around the shops and a nice lunch, whilst enjoying the pre Christmas run up. I’m going to make a point of trying shops I don’t normally go into and wander around homeware shops. I want to broaden my shopping horizons, rather than sticking to the same few shops, plus I can start thinking about purchases for 2018.0 -
Hello Ladies,
I did my claim for ESA, it will not start until the 16th #December 2017 as my Working Tax Credit does not end until 15th December 2017. I did the claim over the phone, as I did not want to use up lots of my ink cartridge printing out the form.
I was surprised to find that my Working Tax Credit continues for another 4 weeks after my job has ended. :T
This gives us as a family a bit of breathing space, until there is a big drop in my income.
I got the all clear from my breast screening. :j:T
I watched the film Hampstead on my talk talk you view box yesterday and I really enjoyed the positive message throughout the film. I felt compelled to find out more about the man Henry Harry Hallowes whose life the film was based on and it was an intriguing real life story. I would give the film a 9/10.
I went to watch the film Final Portrait at my local Odeon cinema yesterday and I found the film lacked direction and focus. To be blunt, I found it quite a boring film and struggled to stay awake.I would not recommend this film to anyone. Thank goodness it was a Silver Screen showing so I only paid £3 for my adult ticket, mind you, the film was so dire, I was tempted to ask for my money back. :rotfl:
I am off for a night out of dancing tonight. I am going to fab myself up and pamper myself, then go out and have myself a great night out.0 -
Hello lovely ladies...
Some good news there SUgarbaby, both with the Money side of things but especially the breast screening....
I loved the film Hampstead, so gentle and sweet and yes a fascinating story.
Not much news here, currently waiting for my odd job man to pop round, so I might as well tackle the ironing in a minute....the oven could do with a clean too. Both my least favourite jobs.
Well I have been with E Harmony for just a over week now. I have really struggled to write my profile. I am not very good at “selling” myself on paper, typical British reserve and modesty!!! Anyway we will see what happens.
Again I’m not very impressed with my “matches” so far........what is it with men......are they so arrogant they think they don’t have to make an effort. Some do try but most of them write hardly anything on their profiles and as for the photos......well a trip to the dentist, a shave and a decent haircut wouldn’t go amiss.
I am not expecting to find a George Clooney lookalike but my goodness what a depressing lot of specimens.....My husband may not have been an oil painting but at least he made an effort and scrubbed up well. As for a profile .......his would have been so well written, full of humour and wit, it would have jumped off the page.
Hey ho. Maybe I’ll just have to kiss an awful lot of frogs but we are still a long way from any kissing yet. :rotfl:
Hope you all have a great weekend.0 -
Hello Ladies,
Thank you Chanie.
LL I look forward to hearing more about your exploits with your matches on E Harmony.
Yesterday evening I had a lovely long bath with Epsom salts and then I used my red door shower gel.
I used lots of my red door perfume and layered it further with the matching body powder and body lotion.
I clipped and filed my finger nails and shaped them. Then I painted them with clear nail polish.
I wore black mascara and a brown eye shadow that matched the skin on my eyelids. I wore clear lip gloss.
I wore my black matt and patent leather Van Dal sling backs with my black velvet and silk Phase Eight skirt, my v neck back and front red Kaleidoscope top and my black velour lightweight jacket. I wore my black wool with velvet collar and cuffs Marks and Spencer coat with a red acrylic scarf and red leather gloves. I was carrying my red Osprey leather handbag. I wore solid gold jewellery (chain and diamonique pendant, diamonique solitaire ring, bracelet and large twisted hoop earrings) with my gold plated Tissot watch.
I had a really good night out dancing, but I did have to do quite a lot of sit down dancing.I was going to stay until 2am when it was due to end, but I ran out of energy by 1am. Once I found myself fighting not to fall asleep, I gave up and left.

 Back from my holiday and we had a great time. Krakow and Warsaw are very different cities but both had heaps to offer for a tourist. I was very impressed with Poland.
I've scanned through this week's posts and noted especially that sugarbaby has lost a stone!:T That's excellent news and I'm sure it'll contribute overall to your wellbeing.
I made wise choices with the clothes I took with me. What I did notice was that many women wore long, quilted coats to keep warm. I used to have one years ago and I think I'll look out for another. They're much lighter than a wool coat which would be a plus and invariably have hoods too.
Looking forward to catching up with you all through the week.:)0
