You never fail to amaze me Sugarbaby .:A
I've only just caught up with your news from yesterday and the next thing you're writing about how organised you are and not a hint of self pity. Well done you! What an attitude! :T

I'm sure you'll use this period of enforced unemployment to advantage especially to recuperate properly. :)

I'm pleased with the gloves too. For just £6, they're warm and comfortable and less formal than my leather ones.

Glad you enjoyed Edinburgh lainey but a shame about the boots. I've decided I'm taking my lace up boots to Poland and my Skechers. They may not be the most elegant but they're warm and comfortable.

Today was different. I've been out for lunch so I joined in fab Friday. I wore my black jeans with a fine lavender knit jumper and heeled ankle boots. DH commented how nice I looked. It's ages since I wore heels which is probably what he noticed. We use public transport in the city which makes flat shoes more suitable for walking.

We're off to Poland on Sunday and at the theatre tomorrow so need to get my act together. :)

Sugarbaby because of the gap between benefits, is it feasible to start your EAS claim now, then advise Tax Credits & supply the documents when they arrive?

    Hello Ladies,

I got my termination letter and the letter outlining what I was paid for the last few months of my employment. I will have to wait for my P45. As I was entitled to 1 week's notice, they are paying me for that extra week in lieu of that notice, yet they never bothered to explain that at the meeting on Thursday with me. There is no information about why my employment was terminated in the letter so I am no clearer on their rationale.

Floss, I will only have to wait until Monday to find out if I am able to start my claim for ESA. ;)

Thanks Maman, but I just have to get on with it, as I can not change the fact I was sacked. :D

I am looking forward to going to Reggaeoke at The Ritzy this evening, as my daughter is coming with me for the 1st time. :D :j

maman have a lovely time in Poland.

Sugar sorry about your job. Maybe it’s for the best, so that you can concentrate on your health.

I had a lovely fab Friday, spent with my new DNiece, who is a couple of weeks old. My Dsis had to do some stuff for her job, so i looked after the baby whilst she worked at mine.

Today has been spent insulating the loft. This was a job we started 8 years ago, but we never finished the section near DS’ bedroom, so his room is chilly. Our loft doesn’t have proper flooring, so we had to balance on the beams, whilst trying to squeeze into the tight spaces to lay the insulation. Luckily, it didn’t take long and we can feel the difference already. We bought the insulation when it was on offer and was really cheap. I remember us doing multiple car trips to pick them up. But, I overestimated how much we needed, so we have about half a dozen packs left over, so we try and sell them.
  • Hello Ladies,

I had a really good night out with my daughter at Reggaeoke. :j My daughter had invited 2 other young girls to the event and we all had a good time singing along with the singers on stage and dancing to the music. One of the girls was astonished when my daughter told her I was not another friend, that I was her Mum. :D

DD is a fabber in the making

When my DSis asked why we'd given DS the small (box) bedroom and DD the bigger bedroom, DD who is 5, replied 'girls need room for their make up'.
  • Hello Ladies,

I had to forgo going out on Sunday evening, as I was really tired to my bones and had a lot of pain in my right arm and leg.

I was feeling so much better yesterday after lots of rest on Sunday. I sent my 2 work tabards back to my employers by recorded delivery, so that concludes my employment with my ex employers. I will receive my last pay from them tomorrow. I can do my claim for ESA on Friday, as I am technically 'working my notice' at the moment.

Chanie your daughter is starting early thinking about make up. Do you use much make up yourself?

No, I don't use much make up and most of what I do have is very natural looking. Although DD is quite girly, she isn't into make up. It was just a funny comment that made me smile, thinking of DD justifying having a bigger room because she's going to have so much make up.
