Congratulations LL on your happy news!

Clippy Girl just a though if you wear tights/stockings every day, could your washing powder be exacerbating your dry skin? I know some washing powders make my skin v dry and itchy.

The next two weeks are going to be 3 day weeks for me. Im off on Monday as it is OHs birthday and we are spending it together and then I have a day off the following week, which is my ‘me’ day.

Does anyone have any plans for Black Friday tomorrow?
I’ve been wanting to get a chic backpack for a while now, as I’ve seen lots of women with them on my commute to work. The style I want is currently on offer, so I think I’ll order it.
I’m also on the hunt for a tv for DS bedroom.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.
  • Chanie, I hope you really enjoy your next 2 weeks of a 3 day working week. Especially your 'me' day.

I am planning to go to an Open Mic Poetry event tonight, which I am really looking forward to. :)

I went to the cinema twice yesterday. To my local Odeon in the afternoon to see Logan Lucky and then to the Institute of Contemporary Arts to watch the documentary West of River Jordan for which I had a free ticket. I loved both films and would give both of them 9.5/10. Logan Lucky really had me laughing out loud all the time, whilst West of River Jordan was enlightening and very thought provoking about the conflict in Israel.

My washing machine has not been working since Monday. I had to fork out £191.88 for a year's insurance for my washing machine, so that it could be repaired on Tuesday. Well the washing machine engineer came and he insisted that there was nothing wrong with the machine. :( In his opinion it was a blockage in my u-bend in the kitchen. Even though the water was running freely down the kitchen drain pipe. I have used Spirit of Salts which I used in the past when there was a genuine blockage, but still the washing machine will not work. I am looking at having to pay for a plumber to come and look at all of the pipe work tomorrow. :(

You certainly love your films sugarbaby.:)

That's tough luck with the washing machine/plumbing. An expense you could have done without but better that it happens now than over Christmas when it would be impossible to get anyone out to sort it.

Your days out sound lovely chanie. I hope you really enjoy your time off. Hope the Black Friday shopping goes well too. What sort of back pack have you in mind? :)

I did make the effort for Fab Friday. Smart casual with black jeans, black jacket, purple jumper and ankle boots. Hair freshly blow dried and some light make up and, of course, perfume.

I struck lucky in the CS. A black and cream stripey taffeta evening skirt and a lovely black lace dress. The dress is a sort of flapper style: sleeveless with a square neckline and flared from the hips. They're both Phase Eight, cost £12 in total and will be useful for the festive season.

We're out for lunch tomorrow as it's DD2's birthday and then I have a St. Andrew's dance on Sunday. I might even wear my new (to me) skirt.:)

Oh Maman those CS finds sound amazing, I especially like the sound of the evening skirt, very on trend!
Chanie not much purchased in the way of Black Friday deals here, I was momentarily tempted by an offer from W8rose cellar, free Champers and all that but decided against and kept my purse firmly shut :)
Little bit of fabbing last night, used a clay facial mask which brightened my skin nicely and, whilst that was setting, a mini manicure. I do have to keep my nails fairly short nowadays as simpler with riding etc but make sure they have a French polish to keep up the chic factor :rotfl:
Not much planned for this weekend, I was meant to be going out for a meal tomorrow night with a group of friends but one couldn't make it so we have decided to rearrange for the New Year when everything feels a little flat?
Have a good weekend everyone and love to all x
