I love leather gloves and have pairs in red, black and purple, have my eye out for a emerald green pair next....
Another one in favour of coloured bags, with winter coats on the whole tending to be in darker tones it's lovely to carry something to make the whole outfit 'pop' a tad more, my favourite is a cherry red tote.
Well my bruises are starting to fade thank goodness and I no longer wince when I turn over in bed, stand up, climb the stairs etc :rotfl: it's good to feel a bit better.
Have just taken advantage of some money off codes to send off for a new scarf in pinks and black forest checks plus a fair isle bobble hat for the yard, nice and cosy ready for the snow they say is coming to East Anglia over the next few days.
I did lol at your OH using the fake tan Chanie
Right, better dash over to the stables before the sun goes down, take care ladies x0 -
Chanie.....must have missed the bit about your OH and the fake tan. That’s hilarious.0

Hello Ladies,
welcome PQ
Lainey I am glad you are continuing to slowly recover from your tumble
LL whatever you are doing, is so right for you, as you are now attracting so much male attention. I am so glad that you are no longer feeling invisible. Your inner confidence obviously shows. :DYou might not find anyone through internet dating, but if you keep your options open, you are most probably going to find someone as you go about your normal life. I wish you well. Thank you for the compliment about my poem.
All 3 pairs of my leather gloves arrived via Royal Mail today and they are such great quality
I have so many coloured leather handbags and I also have a Lovely lilac and sequinned silk evening bag. I use some more than others. My 4 red leather handbags get the most use though. For everyday I use a black patent leather Osprey handbag. I do find that a coloured handbag gives an outfit a 'lift' in the way that a black handbag simply cannot do.0 -
I like coloured bags too - I have a nude & black patent for spring/summer and a chocolate brown patent for autumn /winter. I also have my best bags, a black leather DKNY and a cobalt blue leather Kate Spade. Then I have deep purple, tan, brown, black and turquoise leather cross-body bags. Finally I have the Italian fine black leather bag bought for my mum by my dad in Florence in 1972 which comes out every so often for some polish and an outing2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello lovely ladies.
How are we all. Fab Friday again, have you joined in. I’m wearing skinny jeans and a new mustard coloured chunky sweater. Nice and cosy.
I had some of my vaccinations on Tuesday and felt a bit below par for a couple of days but I’m starting to perk up again. Just got to have the yellow fever one next Tuesday and then I’m done.
Went for a nice massage this morning and am just resting now.
During the last few days I have had a lovely time resting off the vaccine side effects.....felt like a touch of the flu. I have been reading and watching some nice films.
SUgarbaby....I think you are right about the renewed confidence shining through. Today my massage lady said she could see such a change in me, that I seemed really happy and carefree. I think you are both right .....I do feel different these days.......I think the holiday was a real turning point for me. “Goodbye to all the past sadness and hello to a new and hopeful future”.
Maybe it’s this which is giving off good vibes.
I didn’t meet my sister for sister for lunch In the end. I wasn’t bearing a grudge I just didn’t feel well enough. I rested quietly instead. I have found it’s good to say “no” sometimes. :rotfl:
I am going to have another quiet day tomorrow, catching up with mysel. I will give myself a facial and a few pampering treatments and then on Sunday a nice fun lunch with the Jolly Dolly ladies.
Loving all the bag and gloves chat......my new gloves arrived today. I’m Loving the bright colours, hope the girls like theirs too.
Have a great weekend, Keep warm. Lots of Hygge.0 -
I think you're right about the holiday being a turning point LL. Although it didnt go further with either of the Johns, it seemed to be the realisation that you were attractive to them gave you the lift you needed.
Sorry to hear that the injections had side effects but sadly it's common. I think you were right to postpone lunch with your sister and put yourself first. I know it wasn't deliberate but it won't do any harm to show her that you aren't pushing yourself and making yourself ill for others. You've done enough of that.
I did join in Fab Friday. We've been out for the first of our Christmas events today. It was with a group of friends we meet every month but at Christmas we go to a fancy country hotel. As planned I wore my new CS skirt but today with a fine knit black jumper and opaques. I think the tights were a bit heavy but it was so cold. Another time I might try knee length boots.
Have a good weekend all, whatever you're up to.0 -
Hello Ladies,
I went to the Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday evening to see the comedian Nik Rabinowitz. I had such an enjoyable evening, I laughed from the 1st minute until the end of the show one and a half hours later. :rotfl: My stomach muscles still feel as if I did a huge amount of sit ups, 2 days later.I laughed until I cried so many times. The icing on the cake was that I had a free ticket, so it only cost me the bus fare to and from the theatre.
On Friday evening, I went to my sit down poetry open mic event. I did a couple of older poems and my newest poem which is entitled My Friend Deirdre, which I wrote yesterday. Deirdre was embarrassed when I was reading aloud the poem, because I sing her praises so much, but when I was finished she said the poem was the biggest compliment.
I am going to the theatre again tonight and a film preview tomorrow. So I have a full weekend planned. I am looking forward to both events.0 -
That comic show sounds fantastic Sugarbaby and what a great idea, laughing ourselves to a six pack :j
Think that I have mentioned that my eldest niece has her own beauty business? well last night I went along to the Christmas party at her salon, the client turnout was a tad disappointing but the family turned out in force so it was all very jolly. I picked up a couple of little stocking fillers plus a couple of treats for myself, a lovely lemon scented hand sanitizer for my handbag and a scented candle. I also booked myself in for a facial in a couple of weeks time, plumped for the luxury anti-aging one to really give my skin a boost ahead of the festive period. She also gave me a couple of little trial size products to use ahead of time, love a freebie
Most of my bruises have gone but unfortunately I seem to have been left with a problem with my right elbow, have been suffering with a little tendinitis for a couple of months now but since my fall it's been really painful so have made a docs appointment for next week and will ask to be referred for some physio, hopefully that will help.
Not many plans for the weekend but have various things on the go for next week so will take advantage of the quiet to recharge batteries a bit, have a good weekend everyone x0 -
Hello Ladies,
Lainey it is a real shame that you are suffering pain in your right elbow, I hope that you will be referred for physiotherapy in a timely manner and that it gives you a really good result. What a treat you had in your niece's salon and you have your facial to look forward to as well.
I went to see the play Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle. It was a love story which develops after a chance meeting on a train. It starred Anne Marie Duff and Kenneth Cranham who are superb actors. They are the only 2 characters in the play, yet they are so captivating as their love story unfolds and they fill the stage with their presence. I loved the chemistry between them. I had a free ticket for this play which saved me £43. I would give this play 9/10:j

Hello Ladies,
On Sunday I had a free ticket to see a preview of the film God's Own Country. It was a love story set on a farm with breathtaking scenery. It was a relationship between two men and it was a very realistic portrayal of the unfolding love story and the hard, back breaking work involved in running a farm. I really enjoyed the film even though it was not what I had been expecting. I would give it 8/10
Yesterday I went to my local hospital to get my blood tests done. The Doctor is looking for markers in my blood to confirm rheumatoid arthritis. I am hoping that she is going to be proved wrong, but will know soon enough one way or the other.
As I am not working this year in the lead up to Christmas, I have plenty of time to look for bargains and to make good use of Poundland and Card Factory for inexpensive Christmas cards, wrapping paper and tags. I started wrapping Christmas presents yesterday. I am really looking forward to Christmas this year and I am so excited that it is rubbing off on my 17 year old daughter and my 25 year old son.
I am very busy, but I am enjoying being this busy in the lead up to Christmas and the New Year. I can take everything at my own pace.
I am also wrapping birthday presents for my 35 year old daughter and my 34 year old son who have December birthdays on the 10th and 14th respectively.
My ESA claim is now live and I can expect my 1st payment by tomorrow.0
