A better healthy living lifestyle will do wonders for you.

I started a better diet in September for diabetic reasons (although I needed to do it anyway, this just gave me the kick). I haven't touched chocolate, cake, crisps, chips etc since and i've lost 23lbs and my skin is much improved, as are most things.

Well done on your weight loss. I returned to Weight Watchers and lost 4.5lbs last week. Hoping to lose a stone by the time we go away in 12 weeks.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've never been in this thread (or similar) before and I am going to use all my shower gels before buying anymore plus my tins of deodorant etc as I seem to stockpile when on offer, but I am running low on Eau de Toilette and I have 4 running at once, all for different occasions, but it can get expensive, so does anyone recommend any good fragrance sites that could be cheaper than the high street, and more importantly, are legitimate?

I currently have windows open for Elysian, Allbeauty (have purchased before from these), Amazon, Perfume Click, Fragrance X, Perfume Parlour and Fragrance Direct.

My problem is I look at reviews all over the net but seem to trust MSE opinions more!

I spent 5 hours looking around last night and have spent nearly 3 this evening and i'd quite like to do something else.

    Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the thread and to other newbies

If you are a Youtube fan, PrettyPistol86 panned the Vice palette this year and both she and Beudmama panned Naked in 2014. The videos make good watching! And I am completely in awe of PrettyPistol86's Project Polish.

Have had a bit of pampering yesterday with some Korean beauty products from beauty bay that I decided to try. Had the Oh K Intense Moisture Violet Flower Hand Mask. This really made a difference to my hands wish I'd ordered more. The Oh K Peeling Foot Mask, tried last night, not sure about results yet as the yucky skin hasn't started pealing off as yet, Also got the Kocostar Foot Peeling Pack incase this one doesn't work. Had a Blackhead peel off strip that worked really well. Also have the Kocostar Long Hair Pack the try next week.

This year I'm going to concentrate on trying to improve my hair. I have really managed to improve my nails in the last 12 month, this time last year they were pealing and snapping off. Today they are stronger, no longer pealing and have got to a length where I've had to cut a few back rather than just filing them.

I've had a quick reassement of the toiletries etc since Christmas and Advent ins and stash has definately grown again. Nail varnish stash is huge so none to be bought in 2017 (except base and top coat etc). Showergel/Body wash etc enough to last at least 6 months (to buying to at least the summer), same with Hand wash/Soap. Handcream more than 12 months worth so no buying in 2017.

My favourite primer is almost UU, but got some primers in my Advent Calendar so will UU these up be fore buying more. Going to make a big effort to UU Advent Calendar items and Christmas presents before replacing with my preferred items.

No UU yet for my 5 by Spring but hoping for some soon.

    Two UUs this morning:

Avon Care Cocoa Butter Hand Cream WNB. I hate this. The Avon Care Cocoa Butter range always reacts badly to my skin. I have the body butter left from the set I got for Christmas. Is Avon just obsessed with Mineral Oil? I'm going to use the Nuxe hand cream I got to give my hands some nourishment.

Nivea Stress and Protect roll on deodorant WBA. I like this, it doesn't irritate my armpits. I have a mini one left, so I'll use that and then buy another one when I need it. :)

Mineral Oil is cheap I believe and Avon products are cheap so it will crop up a lot I expect.

MacaronVanille - Welcome and good luck with using up your palettes, eyeshadow lasts such a long time and the Urban Decay Naked pans are big.

  • Kind of fallen off the bandwagon with the whole cleanse, tone and moisturise I should have been doing every morning and evening as I have literally been sick as a dog all week :(

    Hope you feel better soon
    Hi All

Would really love to join in with this challenge this year! I have just complete an inventory of my stash and it is shocking! 393 items!!!

welcome to the thread and good luck working through all those eyeshadow pallets.

    had another UU this morning

13 Boots simply sensitive SPF15 - WNBA, got another in stash but don't enjoy it. I would rather spend a bit more and have less product to savour, than taking an age to use it up when it does the job but is just meh

    SO PP list is now
    [STRIKE]1) Lush snowcake soap(sliver only left)[/STRIKE]
    2) Gilchrist & Soames sample soap
    3) Animal Body Lotion 125ml (new bottle)
[STRIKE]4) Superdrug coconut shampoo & conditioner (both nearly gone) [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]5) Gilchrest & Soames shampoo & conditioner Samples[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]6) Boots simply sensitive face cream SPF15[/STRIKE]
    7) Lush Angels on bare skin
    8) Superdrug exfoliating face mask

Replaced the face cream with Nivea Q10 and the shampoos & conditioner with some superdrug coconut ones still in stash. Angels on bare skin may see me till the end of the month & trying to remember to slather on the creams& lotions to use up the stash.
