Does it make a difference if it's supplied by Amazon compared to a seller?
I've been put off Amazon now anyway. I'm not going to risk it. I am glad I asked.
Thanks for your reply.
I'd assume so. Also you would at least know it is not arriving from somewhere in Asia.
I would check the reviews especially 1 & 2-star ones if there are any, the best way to see what people complain about. It annoys me that a lot of people write reviews on Amazon in exchange for free products - you read that glowing review and only at the bottom, there is a line that they received the product for free/discounted in exchange for a review. There should be a system to mark those, something like "verified purchase".ally.0 -
Two UUs this morning:
Avon Care Cocoa Butter Hand Cream WNB. I hate this. The Avon Care Cocoa Butter range always reacts badly to my skin. I have the body butter left from the set I got for Christmas. Is Avon just obsessed with Mineral Oil? I'm going to use the Nuxe hand cream I got to give my hands some nourishment.
Mineral oil is cheap and doesn't really improve the skin. Beauty brands use it to keep their costs low. I was annoyed to see Clarins Double serum had it as main ingredients. For that price, i can't even imagine their margin and I really like Clarins but that was a cheap trick on their side imo.ally.0 -
I have 2 ins , Clinique moisture surge hydrating spray and Pixi Mud Cleanser.ally.0

If you are a Youtube fan, PrettyPistol86 panned the Vice palette this year and both she and Beudmama panned Naked in 2014. The videos make good watching! And I am completely in awe of PrettyPistol86's Project Polish.
Welcome from me too.
I'm another fan of PrettyPistol and Amber F.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Welcome new people
Good luck in using up all your lovely things!
2 UU for me:
- Decleor youthful oil serum 5ml sample. WNB - didn't seem to sink in well, and a weird smell I didn't like.
- Bomb cosmetics Rosebud Buttercup bath thing. WNBA - not sure it did anything for my skin, didn't smell of anything - and I prefer bubbly things
And a few TAs:
- freedom single eyeshadow which I dropped a few months ago and smashed. Should have binned it at the time, it's just been sitting around in the way!
- L'Oreal true match powder compact - same as above! (I was moving at the time)
- mini Benefit eyecon. This is years old, and looks a little separated. Rarely used it, and pretty sure it should not be allowed near my eyes now! :eek:0 -

Amazon are in the process of banning these. It was done in the US and now it has been announced over here. The only freebie reviews allowed will be Vine ones and they are clearly marked at the top of the review. To make the system better I think they also need to do away with the reviewer voting buttons. I am on Vine and giving a product a negative or meh review instantly gets you lots of down votes. I know some people feel pressure to give everything five stars because of this. I always give the Vine toiletries I receive honest and detailed reviews and frequently find my review at the bottom of the list because of the down votes.0 -
UU
Radox Shea and ginger hand wash. WNBA
It was grand, and did the job, but no lovely, lingering scent and not really moisturising either. There are much nicer hand washes, even if you avoid anti bacterial ones like me.0 -
Hi all.
Welcome to even more newbies!
I have a few UUs:
12. Rimmel Lasting Finish 25Hour Nude Foundaton Ivory WMBA. I finished this because it's been open ages but it's a bit too dry for me in the winter really.
13. Lush Snowie Bubble Bar WDBA. I have one more but would definitely buy again if it comes out for Xmas 2017.
14. Sainsburys Christmas Spice Candle WBA.
15. L’Oreal Pure Riche Conditioner WBA. Still got some of the shampoo left. I like this range; it feels very luxurious.
I also have an IN but technically it's from last week, I just forgot to mention it. I bought a pack of Superdrug Winter Skin Wipes because my makeup got wrecked in a bit of a downpour and I wanted it off my face pronto!
Good to see so many UUs going on! Hope everyone has had a good weekend. )0
