A few INs from my shopping trip today:
    Lush Unicorn Horn
    Lush Lover Lamp
    Lush Ladybird
    Lush Rose Bombshell
Superdrug The Little Moisturising Blue Stick
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 SPF50

The Lush is a treat to myself, the lip balm is a back up, and the Cicaplast is for a few healing cuts on my hand that I don't want to scar.

I went into Lush today and I was disappointed with the Valentine's range. There's only two more products I want, but I'll get those next month online. There was too many floral scents for my tastes. I didn't even spend all of the balance on my gift card:eek:

Somehow (brain fog) I clanged the other day and bid on and won 2 bottles of Decleor Aroma cleanse, not a problem really as I will need to start using one soon and they cost me, even with postage, slightly less than one bottle would normally:money:

    IN
    2 x 200ml Decleor Aroma Cleanse Micellar Water 2 & 3/3

    UU
Somehow managed to omit this from my PP list:(, finished it in my foaming handwash, next in use an Elemis one.

250ml Crabtree & Evelyn Rose bath and shower gel. 1/1

I have just checked the bath and body products drawer and have only 3 unopened shower/bath gels, but enough body butter, lotion and gels to last me until the Christmas after next I think, not counting 2 huge bottles of prescription stuff I had for my eczema (fortunately I don't get it too often now):D

I have been very busy recently but kept on my daily cleansing / make-up etc. Not a lot of UUs but there is progress.

1 UU Origins Anti-Aging Eye cream (5 ml.) This was part of a set, felt nice and it was easy to apply. I don't have lines or anything around my eyes, so not sure about effectiveness. WNBA , I have others to UU.
Another UU is a bottle of shower gel that I got from Alba Science for testing. The brand was Original Source and it was an amazing foaming wash. Might buy again.

2 shower gels to go to foodbank. So they are out.

Selected couple of items from my stash to list on Ebay and possibly Facebook. Hoping to sell within January.

    Hope all well.

    4. Not actually a use up or a throw away, rather a left at daughter's by mistake - a smallish French vegetable soap, just opened. It will be used up by other visitors by the time I return in a couple of months! Have so many unopened soaps it really doesn't matter.

    Yes! I am!

My hair and nails aren't co operating either :rotfl:

I get my nails done professionally on a regular basis and it's so saddening to go in with one or two that have broken off right down to the nail bed compared to the other nails due to them breaking!

Although saying that, my nails right now since having them done last time are all intact other than a couple very small splits right at the end of the nail, but how long will that last...

You might benefit from using some supplements. Holland & Barrett has penny sale going on ( still I guess) and their skin&hair&nail supplements are a good price. Alternatively you can use some B12 and/or calcium supplements.

Everyone seems to be being very good in the sales. I am trying very hard to resist the Clinique Crayola chubby sticks. Lipstick that looks like a crayon? How old am I? I so want them.

I saw them too and being a big fan of their chubby sticks, I am also trying very hard to resist. Also I bought some lipsticks recently.

  • I've never been in this thread (or similar) before and I am going to use all my shower gels before buying anymore plus my tins of deodorant etc as I seem to stockpile when on offer, but I am running low on Eau de Toilette and I have 4 running at once, all for different occasions, but it can get expensive, so does anyone recommend any good fragrance sites that could be cheaper than the high street, and more importantly, are legitimate?

I currently have windows open for Elysian, Allbeauty (have purchased before from these), Amazon, Perfume Click, Fragrance X, Perfume Parlour and Fragrance Direct.

My problem is I look at reviews all over the net but seem to trust MSE opinions more!

I spent 5 hours looking around last night and have spent nearly 3 this evening and i'd quite like to do something else.

    Thanks for any advice.

    What is YS?
YS = Yellow Sticker, I found these in the reduced section they should have been £2.50 each but I paid less than a pound each for them

Most probably a sign they are not going to stock them soon.

2 more UU for me after tonight's bath

11 Lush - shoot for the stars bath bomb - WBA was lovely although i'd love it if they did the fragrance and colour in a bubble bar more.
12 Gilchrest & Soames shampoo 45ml - WNBA was a hotel freebie and wasn't that impressed, keeping the bottles to reuse though for future travel plans.

  • Houseplant- I know that my triggers are boredom and seeing all the new items the spring. I truthfully wish that I bought the volumizing treatment by john frieda when I saw how good the shampoo was. I realized that sometimes compromising on a product that no longer suits it just not worth it when you really want to project the best version of yourself. I have started to worry as shopping out of boredom is never a good thing. I know people who buy new cars, splurge on handbags or visit a spa- I know that I’m not doing that level if spending but I want to keep the used up’s coming (but not at the cost of not persisting with something that is well beyond its suitability.

Valm- You and your husband will have a brilliant time. You deserve it and will have a great time sightseeing (in Sephora).

Pickle- Hope the new year was good and sounds like you have gotten a great deal already

Sstevo and French skincare addicts- For some reason the LRP and vichy is not distributed as widely in the uk as other countries. It is like a basic line all pharmacies stock irrespective of size. It ia really strange as they are owned by loreal. LRP give out buckets of samples and I find the stockists are very generous with the testers. Try and get as many testers any time you are outside of the uk. I managed to get a huge bag of samples so I really know that it works for me.

Dolly- It’s great when you get a good bargain.

Maddie- The collection is reducing and your getting there. The cleanser is something that you will enjoy using as the declor is just so lovely of a product

I have started trying to eat better, to lose weight and avoid the effects processed foods have on my skin. I find that spending less on take aways and rubbish tends to be a real upside. I suppose less cake begin eaten is allowing me to cake it one the face!

I bought the healthy mix concealer in bourjouis 51 light radiance for under the eye concealer as I noticed the benefit one seems to have difficulty covering darkness under the eyes- possibily due to fall down. I am amazed by the quality of the concealer, it does on very yellow toned but over the time it takes to make a cup of coffee it settles down to its real colour. I have to admit this is a great concealer but if you test it leave it a minute and see.

I shopped from the stash and rediscovered a mac natural radiance primer and it is amazing! Why did I not use this earlier? Well, I used up the lancome version which was poor and put me off this whole type of primer thing. It has given we the last two days days of amazing makeup. It keeps the shimmer in place and it keeps the foundation in place, while allowing me to keep a sheer look. I am so happy that the skin looks made up not like a caked on plastered wall.

I started the week with really bad make up- it was not sitting right but I upped the acid toning, used the luna oil by Sunday riley, guerlain eye serum and mac primer. I am getting the benefit, a little bit of pampering really paid off. I was basically asked if I was a student today and work experience person yesterday. I think they needed specsavers!

That is interesting. I love LRP, but my skin is so troublesome I still have trouble finding which of their creams work for me. I rang up their helpline and explained all this and asked if they provided samples of two of the creams I was interested in. The woman was incredibly rude and said they never have samples. She was really unpleasant. I guess I need to go on a trip to France!

    Some UUs

Aveeno cream - WBA. I don't like the texture of this stuff, but my eczema has cropped up due to the weather so I am using this until it clears up.

Garnier micellar water - WBA, although I am interested in trying some others.

Botanics Moisture Mist body lotion spray - WNBA. Rubbish. It comes out in a clump and it has a really harsh chemicall-y smell to it. I will stick with my Aveeno spray or the Vaseline one.
