I'm 43 and don't feel old at all. Kids are 24, 23 + 18. And a grandaughter who's nearly 5. I think its her that keeps me feeling young :p

That raises an interesting point - i dont feel old, however i've become aware, particularly in the last year or so that i am perceived as being old.
  • Old? Not yet (56 1/4)
Although it was close when a market trader called me Young Lady!

Involuntary groans when sitting down and standing up. The slightest cut takes forever to heal. Spectacles for reading and getting up during the night for a piddle.

Aaah that's sweet, thank you! In the future I bet I'll look back and think I wished I'd worn them after all!

When I turned 65, I had to ask for concessions, and was asked for proof (honestly). Then I had to ask but was not asked for proof. Then I was asked if I qualified. Now I'm just given it, no questions asked. When I'm just given it, plus a flyer from the local funeral home, I'll know I'm old. Now I'm 74 and it makes me angry when TV whippersnappers describe my age group as "elderly". I'm not ,I'm in late middle age, and I'm going to stay that way until my wife (58) catches up.

When I had a query with a savings account and the call centre contact, obviously seeing my age on her screen and taking the politically correct route asked the security question "how many years young will you be on your next birthday?
  • Looking back, I feel at/about 34/35 I was in my phyiscal and mental ability prime and well as my good looks/hair/etc.
I feel some, like me may start to feel old when you start becoming unwell, history of deressions, acid reflux, drink problems, arthrtis and insukt to injury is impotence. However, with good support you can overcome theme

one thing i have noted that 30-40 years people over the age of 30-40 waering younger people clothers were called 'mutton dressed as lam' both men/women but now days anyhting goes to an extent

I was made to feel old when I turned 50 last year and Saga offered me all sorts. I shall ignore them for as long as possible as they are expensive and I don't feel old.
