Your photos draw me in.
Just fantastic scenery and you catch the moment.
I'm trying to minimise food waste too. I'm not too bad but could improve, especially on things that lurk in the fridge and freezer.
You will have plenty to do at the moment with two jobs on the go, and it's brilliant that you can optimise your earnings.
And how lovely to have the time with your DDs.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy New Year. Congratulations on getting f-time in job1. Can see you're sorry to let job3 go, but it served it's purpose and this will be better for you in terms of trying to juggle things and for you financially long term.
I really think this will be the year which fetches a lot of changes for the better. It'd be fantastic to think the debt could be gone and you have a mortgage in your own right within a year, but I realise that might be a tall order. I definitely think the next 24-36 months will finally fetch that freedom.6 -
Thank you SH, Cherryfudge and Spendless.
Spendless - It’s my Hope too, that this year will enable me to make positive steps forward.
Back to work yesterday in both jobs, so feeling rather tired now having done the day and evening for 2 days. Having no jobs to go to for a week over Christmas was very relaxing!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thank you SH.
Enjoyed my first week back in both jobs. The way Job 2’s shifts fell this week, I’ve been able to have the weekend off which has felt both luxurious and relaxing!! I wish I could say I’ve been really productive but yesterday was simply grey and very wet so didn’t get much done other than prep and planning for Job 1.
Did a menu plan for next week. Due to Covid messing up Christmas plans, I hadn’t gone overboard on food so yesterday’s shop came to £90, which is quite a lot for me! I am finding that on the occasional evenings when older children are at work or out, the younger ones and I can eat simple meals.
On Thursday I had to sort DD3’s insurance. She passed her test just before Christmas which is wonderful. She has saved up to get herself a car, so am treating her the same as her older siblings in paying the insurance whilst she is in full time education. I’ve had to do it monthly as I don’t have the savings to do it in one hit, but went through a comparison site and had the cheapest one which also had breakdown cover included 🙂.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Insurance is a killer for young drivers and can cost more than the car

Thank you SH and Lucielle,
You’re right Lucielle, I think DD’s insurance is higher than the value of the car. I dread to think what DS1’s is...he refused to have a black box, so I stopped paying his insurance when he passed his test.
DD3 now has Covid...I am really fed up with it now. Back to windows open and good levels of ventilation everywhere. So far the youngest 2 and I are testing negative on lateral flows...

I hope she's better soon and none of the rest of you gets it. Not the weather for open windows.
