Thank you Cherryfudge, Parkyp & Janb5.

Parkyp - you’re right. Job 1 has a contract that would cover self isolation whereas Job 2 doesn’t have any contract at all and could best be described as a zero hours type. It’s a shame as I was earning, since reopening, just £10 a week beneath the level needed for SSP.

The positive news is that I was able to go back to Job 2 yesterday which means I will have some sort of pay next week - phew!

Janb5 - that sounds an amazing idea. I’ve not heard of that locally but will ask one of my FB savvy children to check!

I found that I had several egg whites left over from DD1’s ice cream making ventures, so those were made into a pavlova yesterday which will make a nice dessert for today🙂. I’ll need to top the tins  up today but not go over the top with less here to eat it! Trying to adjust to cooking different amounts!

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

    Thank you SH.

Sunday was quite a productive day sort of! I got to church on Zoom which was lovely. A friend  from church was able to explain my DIY job to me in ways that I understood and I now feel able to tackle the task🙂.

I baked some chocolate brownies and vanilla cupcakes in readiness for packed lunches this week. For tea, I cobbled together various bits and pieces to make an interesting meal...sweet potato fries ( made in DD1’s air fryer), roasted veg medley consisting of carrot, onion and turnip, served with steamed broccoli and cauliflower. The roasted veg was really tasty. Strawberry pavlova for dessert made for a lovely meal.

Some  sorting of clothes was done, so much so, that I have another big bag to recycle tomorrow. I’m trying to think positively that the decluttering and sorting is making more room in the house.

I would have loved that meal!

You are right about clothes taking up a lot of room and once they've left you will be a little bit freer to redefine the space (which sounds like some awful jargon but it's not yet mid-morning so I can't think of a more graceful way to say it!)

Pleased to read your isolation is over and you can get some money coming in. I love roast veg and sweet potato fries 😋 Also good to hear you feel able to tackle the DIY job. The situation with not knowing where the dogs might be is annoying, they need a word in their shell-likes about that, it’s not on.

Thank you Cherryfudge, SA and Janb5.

Thats a good idea Janb5- I have put aside a pile of clothes that I hope will Ebay well🙂.

Its been a very busy week in both jobs. At Job 1, someone else has had to self isolate because they were pinged by the app. It’s meant trying to cover classes but seems to be happening in a lot of places at the moment. Two weeks left until the end of term. Job 2 is generally busy due to the time of the year. I’m thankful to be able to go to work after the self isolation a couple of weeks ago. To that end I did get some extra dried food in this week, in case we are in a situation where we suddenly have to self isolate again.

Unfortunately another week of stress with the ex. The walls were bare one day on my return from work, compared with how they were when I left for work. Initially I was frustrated but can see that now I have more scope to make here our own home. DD1 showed me how to get one of my photos printed onto canvas so that it’s a form of wall art. I found a beach photo on my phone, that I think I posted on here a few months ago, so it’s arriving on Wednesday ready to hang up 🙂.

The living room is now in need of attention so I spent yesterday sugar soaping the walls. I found in Bee and M last week, a tin of paint in the colour I wanted for £16. I’m sure I paid nearer £40 for the same size tin, when I went to a builders merchants last time. I’m hoping that painting the living room will make it look fresh and lighter.

Debt busting has slowed at the moment, simply due to expenses going out. I’ve paid for an exam for DD3 to help with her studies and have about £90 going out for end of term things - one DD has a leavers’ treat, I have colleagues leaving gifts and event.

Hoping to get to a beach today...I’m only going to beaches that are off the beaten track. Sadly the Covid rates locally are still rising, even cases among those that have had both jabs😳🤷‍♀️.

    Have a good Sunday everyone.

Your ex does it to cause maximum effect.... and distress so ` don`t feed the bears!`

I agree with Parkyp and Allikat86 to check whether he can actually come and go as he pleases and maybe ` check` on post and documents while he`s there(!)  I`m trying to suppress murderous thoughts.....!

Well done HSL for using lateral thinking to survive the latest hiccough.  That is always your modus vivendi and I think you`re right.  Easier to say than to do,

Your pictures will look absolutely fab...maybe ask the children to select some other favourites from your walks .
