A work colleague went and one and I learnt (and have found it usefull) to stick in 3rd gear when on a stretch of road covered by 30mph cameras.

What gear for a certain speed would depend on a lot of other things, my previous 2 cars, 1.9 CDTi Vectra C and 1,5 dCi Nissan Qashqai with 6 speed gearboxes were happy in 4th upwards of 25mph, my current car, a Megane 1,5 dCi with 5 speed box needs to be in 3rd.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

Went on one last march and was actually quite surprised. expected it to be a telling off and it was nothing like that. Much more emphasis on driving defensively and safely rather than a beating for being "naughty".

Actually learnt a few things as well. Interestingly there was a group of about 30 on the course. One about the same age as me (40's) one younger and all the rest were OAPs. In fact the only person on the course who was doing one for a second time was a lovely lady 85 lol.

Personally I would say OP should put in a complaint about the lewd remark and if asked for feedback about the course say how rubbish it was, but not push the point as you don't want to be asked to do another one.

Is there any point complaining about this? They were so awful at their job that even if this was a company paid for course I would of made a complaint.

Obviously I won't ever get a refund, but the course was not presented well at all and a remark was made at me that I would involve hr if made in the workplace.

Is there any cumupance for these people for if they deliver a course of a very poor quality?

    What actually happened?

The most concerning part of the course for me was that I was the only person who knew what a dual carriageway was.

    Were you surprised at that?

You'd think there'd be a clue in the name, wouldn't you?

Yes but many people think the duel bit applies to the number of lanes (it doesn't) rather than the number of carriageways-kerb to kerb/central barrier.

This was also brought up on the course I attended. It's a genuine area of confusion for many people.

Many of them think it's about a duel between cars rather than a dual. ;) sorry couldn't resist a little pedant joke...

You've not done an SAC, have you?

Trust me, you'd quickly be cured of that misapprehension.
