tweets, are you weighing at home by any chance?

I only ask because I can get my weight on my home scales to vary by up to a stone!!!! Depending on how they are positioned, how I stand on them etc. So if you are using home scales, it could be the scales themselves that are at fault.

Once I stopped going to group I weighed myself only once per month, but at the pay-scales at Boots that give a printout. They have them in leisure centres etc as well. They look a bit intimidating as they have a screen and flashing lights and I was convinced they were going to tell the world my weight LOL In fact the lights are to measure your height and the screen gives you instructions. Your weight etc is just discreetly printed out on a little reciept for you.

Definitely do check that you are following the plan completely correctly, ask on here or post your food diary if you are unsure. I know that I have assumed something is free only to find I've eaten huge amounts of syns before (some kind of cooked meat, I am super-careful with them!) so it really is worth being super-vigilent when you are new. And do remember that even if you are following the plan 'to the letter' you still need to be sensible, I do try to make sure I get a lot of speed foods even though this is not considered essential.

But don't lose heart whatever happens! Even if you do show a gain, you have made positive steps towards a healthier you, and whatever the scales say that is a huge achievement! :T There will be times when the scales seem to be conspiring against you, you stick to the plan completely but still gain or STS. Others when you are naughty and don't deserve a loss but you get one anyway. But the journey is long, it evens out over time, and it is not a race, in fact it doesn't even have a finishing line. It is a change of lifestyle, one you are already on the way to making, so don't be hard on yourself. You haven't failed, you have tried. HUGE difference!

Yes I weigh at home same time 3pm Sunday in birthday suit so I cant blame clothes lol . I put my scales in same spot in bathroom on cushion flooring its got squares on it so I line scales up in same square. I went through a bad spot last year where I could have thrown the scales through the window lol.

I couldn't go to class I couldn't sit there while someone clapped me or if I had to tell class what I had lost  I am safe here on this thread. Promise next Sunday I will have a loss

Thank you for the kind words Larumbelle

    Evening everyone!

Tweets - You do whatever is right for you. I enjoy going to class - it's my "me" time on a Saturday morning. I appreciate though it's not for everybody.

Having "non food" treats is nice - I have recently started having my nails done and am going again to have the infills done on Friday. It does make you feel good.

I tried the SW potato salad today - in Iceland they had them yesterday for 75p as they had reached the date. It's not something you could eat on it's own, you need to pack it out with other salad. But it's still not very nice! I wouldn't pay the proper price for it, but I didn't mind paying 75p for it to try.

Haven't had a good weekend food wise, but will be back on it tomorrow!

Have a good week all x

Tweets~~ That curry sounds lovely & easy to make.
So gently cook the veg & add the curry sauce.
Even I could manage that :)

Weighed in Earlier. Lost 1 pound

Pleased with that as I normally maintain the second week back on plan. Need to start some body magic into my daily routines though, that's my next goal.

    Tommorows plan.

Breakfast, smoothie. Kale, asparagus, apple and half banana almond milk hxa

Dinner - LO bolongnaise with BNS wedges

Tea - undecided, will either be Cottage pie or HM burgers

New recipe tried today, SW recipe Lamb Pasanda, was OK, looked a bit pink for a curry though! Tasted OK and no complaints from the boys.

  • Evening all.

Have had a busy day today...hubby wanted to replace all the chairs in the office (old ones were covered in dog's hair and it's not really professional looking when clients come in) so been chair shopping and taking the old ones to the dump.

Food wise it's quiet - I did have a McDonald's happy meal lunch time but haven't had anything really apart from a homemade chilli ..in my defence of the happy meal I walked the dog for an extra 3/4hr.

Found out today we've been invited to a dinner dance in April so I'd love to have lost 2.5 stone by then.....wish me luck!

Yes I cook veg in a pan with water and seasoning . Then when veg is soft or to your taste. Cook SW curry sauce in microwave. Drain veg when curry cooked . Add curry sauce and serve I normally have enough for 2 servings . Easy Peasy and you can use whatever veg you like :)

Just warm second serving up in microwave :)
  • Good evening all :) Weighed this morning. -2.25 lbs. Was a bit disappointed at first. I usually have a much bigger loss second week back on plan. But when I thought about it last week I wasn't strictly on plan the whole time, and I am still on steroids, so I guess any loss is good.

I've also not been doing any body magic since I started back. I was diagnosed with arthritis Christmas week, and my new medication hasn't made much of a difference yet. I have a FitBit so I'm going to concentrate on getting my daily steps up first before worrying about body magic. Some days I struggle to get 1,000 steps in  Feels hard to believe now that I used to get 10,000 plus no bother.

Congrats on all the losses :j Hugs to anyone who had a STS or a gain. Hopefully next week will give you the results you want :)
