I'm glad you like those sausages Maman, I bought them literally for the first time today! I went into Iceland to buy some of the SW ones but at £3 for 6 they just seemed so expensive. Do you happen to know if they freeze well at all? I bought the Morrisons version a couple of times and they weren't as nice once the rest of the packet had been frozen.

I took the plunge and ordered some PB2 today. It seems so expensive but I had some Christmas money, it may not be everyone's idea of a special treat but it is mine LOL. As long as I like it it should last a long time anyway. It feels a bit extravagant but i love peanut butter. At 5 syns per level tbsp it's difficult to justify to the syns really. It will be nice to make some chicken satay that doesn't use up all my syns in one go!

Evening all. I've been so hungry today! Thinking trying to stick to 1200 calories a day isn't going to last long term. I find if I just do SW I don't lose. I've a very sedentary lifestyle so I do need to be careful with the free foods. I have managed to save all my syns today and have nearly 200 calories left so I can have a few drinkies tonight  Haven't had any alcohol since New Years Eve so really looking forward to it.....I just realised that's only 13 days.....It feels sooooo much longer :rotfl: Hopefully the left over crisps from Christmas won't get attacked when I've had a few!

  • Evening all, quiet on here today! Lots of snow here for the morning rush hour but it had gone by lunchtime. I did my my first full day of proper work since mid-December and I am pooped! Early to bed with a book for me.

B - Carrot and cinnamon baked oats
D - Pesto pasta with bacon, red onion, mushrooms, courgette, cherry tomatoes and pine nuts
    T - Fish and chips :D
    HEA - Milk
HEB - Pine nuts (oh bgger just realised I had oats as well :o)
Syns - Pesto (2), Sugar (3), Hot choc (2) Fish and chips (??)

Ooh almost forgot to post a 2lb loss - standing on the scales this morning seems like a very long time ago now!

So a bit of a greedy day for weigh day but back on it tomorrow. I'm going to be out all day at a first aid course but I did myself an extra portion of pesto pasta to have instead of the 'sandwich lunch provided'.

Good luck getting out to run Old Lurker, I'm aiming for Sunday.

    Have a good weekend all!

lurker, the dip will depend on which mint sauce you used. Most brands are between 1 and 0.5 syns for a tablespoon but syns online says Colmans and Morrisons do a Garden Mint sauce which is free so worth considering for the future.

Have a good day all. No snow here, brilliant sunshine.:D

Thanks Maman, I'll look out for Morrisons and Colmans next time I need some...this time I went with Aldi's own brand.

Must be nice to have the new carpet down and the last major piece of work finished on the room.

Today went off plan as a colleague invited me to lunch so I ended up having a burrito with guacamole:eek:, I'm going to draw a line and restart again tomorrow. Dinner wasn't too bad as I had the chicken salad instead.

Happy weekend to everyone, freezing cold outside but only the lightest dusting of snow for us!

Did not like the Iceland SW potato salad either.
Way way too much mint in it & it had a horrid after taste.
    Yuk.

Well done on your loss tete . Hope you enjoyed your drinks. :D

The sausages freeze absolutely fine larumbelle although I defrost them before cooking. I've never had them other than pre-frozen as I always split the pack into 4s for DH and me.

The Asda Slimzone jalfrezi was good and I'll buy it again. It's only medium hot but with a bit of a kick aftertaste. Strange size portions. It was very generous having one each but shared would have been a bit mean. Next time I'll have more rice and perhaps add spinach as well as mushrooms.... and be really greedy. :D

Can anyone recommend sausages that aren't high on syns?? Just tried the Iceland SW ones and not at all impressed - bland flavour and odd texture.

I do like the Linda McCartney rosemary ones but would like a good flavoured meat sausage too.

Porky whites light - half a syn each
  • Hi well done everyone on your losses and thank you Larumbelle for your motivational post there were some great positive thoughts in there.

I can't remember who it was that bought mango from the coffee shop and was disappointed it wasn't speedy. Be kind to yourself, you made a healthy choice and didn't grab a muffin or the chocolate that maybe you would have in the past.

I haven't posted this week have been loaded with cold feeling miserable but much brighter today.

Week 2 weigh in -5 lbs

    Today's plan

B wheaties banana and milk AB
L tuna JP and a chopped salad
D HM egg curry and rice 2 syns for oil and I'll do a speedy veg side dish

    Snacks, satsumas or apples.

Not many syns today as had apple crumble and custard yesterday that was 26 and although was within weekly alowence I don't 2 syn heavy days in a row.

    Have a good weekend everyone
