Can anyone recommend sausages that aren't high on syns?? Just tried the Iceland SW ones and not at all impressed - bland flavour and odd texture.
I do like the Linda McCartney rosemary ones but would like a good flavoured meat sausage too.
I like the Heck sausages between 0.5 and 3 syns per sausage. I get mine from Asda
I have tried italia 1 syn each and
paprika chicken 0.5 syn each0 -
Morning all :A
Well done losers and hugs to those in Need :A
WI and regained the .4lb I lost last week, probably down to finishing of the big tub of honey roasted peanuts and also a bag of chocolate raisins (over the week not all at once):o. All gone now though
Have been adding turmeric to my morning porridge, and it resembles a piccalilli nappy (sorry tmi) bit of honey and it's not too bad :rotfl:.
We had quite a bit of snow yesterday round about playtime so out we all go with very excited children. By lunch it had turned to slush and was bitterly cold so indoor play and by home time it had practically gone
Bright and sunny today but cold, forecast is for more snow but believe when I see it. Son is off to London so hope the snow stays away until he's home (early hours of morning
).
Have a good weekend all and stay warm! Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I don't like the texture of chicken sausages and having tried sainsurys reduced fat sausages this last week that were truly vile, I'm going to skip the hunt for a low syn sausage and if i plan to have them one week just save a few syns so I can enjoy couple of decent ones (asda pork and caramelised red onion are yummy and I think someone said they're about 5 each?) rather than be disappointed.
Found a great syn free gravy recipe to go with them that was basiclly just boiling up a chopped onion, carrot and beef stock cube with a few of your favourite herbs then blitzing it to make it thicker. I added a bit of left over red pepper and some sage and it was delicious.2019 Weight Loss Goals

Well done Haylaluru, that's a brilliant loss. You must be delighted.:T
I'm staying on plan through the day today but not sure about this evening. I'm going dancing and it's a shared supper so it depends what's available. I'm taking a SW friendly salad but can't speak for others. Plus side is plenty of Body Magic and if any wine syns it'll be just a nightcap when I get home.:)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, ham, fried eggs, HEB toast, tomatoes and mushrooms
L: JP with veggie chilli (really been enjoying this), cottage cheese and pickled cabbagetba
Syns: who knows?0 -
Morning all, well done to those with losers, those with gains remember this -
It not about the times you fail, its about the times you start over again!
Got to preach above after managing to consume 2 days worth of syns yesterday...I do tend to save them so hopefully will be OK if I'm on track for the next 2 days (weigh in Sunday nights)
Breakfast - French toast - made with 2 eggs, wholemeal thin hxb. Salted caramel flavoured quark and strawberries.
No dinner, so will have a couple of mini quiches before heading g to the match (no booze as doing dry Jan)
Tea, Chinese mayflower curry with chicken and speed veg and actify chips - 5 syns.
Snacks, apple and baby bell light hxa and possible a fibre one later as I have about 6 syns I can use today.MFW 2017 No 41 £835.79/£1000

Had my first weighin today since before Christmas and lost 3lbs which I'm really pleased with.
I've lost my mojo a little which I think comes of having a holiday as a reason for losing weight.
Haven't been swimming either in the mornings.
Need a good kick up the rear me thinks
Btw has anyone seen the Asda slimzone meals? I know they're not endorsed by SW and I think only 3 have been calculated to be syn free.0 -

Huge well done on your losses shala_moo, Mad with money, Tete en l'air, Hayleylaru, Lantanna and Gettingheresometime (and anyone else I missed... so sorry if I did) Congratulations on your losses! :T
Lantanna go to the supermarket and pick up 250g lard... that's only just over 0.5lb fat! So this is more or less what your 'only' 0.5lb is, so don't be downhearted, be really chuffed with yourself!!!Speaking of lard (well, sort of LOL) I made an SW Full English for my brunch today. egg, bacon, sausage (which I liked!) slice of black pudding (3.5 syns, the lowest one I've found), HEB wholemeal toast, and mushrooms and beans. Huge treat of a meal for only 4.5 syns! :j It was great. Because I can't have tomato I decided to see what borlotti beans would taste like with it (since they are baked beans without the tomato sauce). I always forget that bacon and egg are both 'P' so I was trying to up the SP value for the meal. It was... okay I guess. A bit strange but not too bad. Next time I will probably have them again in place of the toast as they are very filling and I do feel happier with a bit more plant-based stuff on my plate.
Since I still feel stuffed now, tea will probably be a light veggie stir fry or some squash soup. Also need to get my HEA in at some point.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend x0
