I didn't realise i could have that many syns a day so that's a welcome surprise, how do i go about working out what amount of syns things are exactly?
You can find many syn values by Googling but some of the values could be out of date as recipes change. Those of us that do attend a group have access to the SW website so can look up syns for you. Just ask.:)
If you did go to a group (even once) then you'd have a book with a list of syns in it for most common foods. If your dad joins, you could look at his;). SW does cater for shift workers in that they understand if you can't go every week because of work and if you happen to live in a big enough town then you can go to any group you like, not just the one you joined first.0 -
Well done, Starry.eyed., ilovetea, orlao and Cazzaswfc .
Tete, I know exactly what you mean about the relationship between smell and taste. I also have a similar thing with colour and so does a friend of mine, e.g. she showed me a pink cardigan she was knitting and I said that I’d like one too, but in the same shade of green – and she made me it!
Top Girl, I’m sorry for your loss; even although you have been estranged, before that she was important to you, I’m sure.
Kathrynha, I just use extra light mayo in my coleslaw; there aren’t many syns.

Evening all,
I have no idea where yesterday went so didn't post but thanks Green Tiger I did enjoy the fish pie and am pleased I have some ready meals for quick dinners when I need them!
Topgirl - sorry for your loss
Welcome to the Newbies - I'm returning after going to class 5 years ago but then moved house and had 101 other excuses.
Today was another impromptu working from home day due to the Tube strike which are never good for me - when at work I taken my food and then resist going out to buy more here I seem to drink LOTS of tea (from the HEA allowance) but also graze a bit. The fridge is getting better at having fruit to graze on but there are a few naughty things left over from Christmas and only me to eat it.
Onwards an upwards ... weigh in tomorrow hoping for a small loss as I know I've cheated a little
Tomorrow's menu
B Shreddies (HEB)
L Brown rice, Chicken and broccoli (using up fresh food) Apple
D Omelette with salad - I'm not fond of eggs but have got some local farm free range ones to see if I can find a way I like them as they will be useful for a quick fresh dinner

The one thing I'm finding different by googling is the syns in the ambrosia banana custard pots? Also banana weatabix as a Hex B is it 1.5 or 2 you can have? And last one I promise, the Jacobs chive crispbreads?
Ah I didn't realise that about the groups will have to look in to it further!0 -
