    STS this week

Was sure I would have lost :( I have been good all week
Hopefully it'll all come good next week tweets.

The full size (not fun size) Kit Kat is 11 syns whiplashy so you should be OK. Great loss :T

Funnily enough denise I had pizza over the holidays for the first time in years and I enjoyed it too. Not fussed if it's years before the next one though. You've done ever so well to clear the freezer. I need to get strict with myself as I want to make more HM ready meals but no space. When do you leave for the sunshine? :)

I'm with you there Maman. I enjoyed it and it'll probably be years before I have another - unless of course we end up with a holiday in Italy at some time! Their pizza's are to die for.

I just made sure that nearly everything in the outside freezer was included in this month's meal plan. I need to get rid of that freezer and buy a new one as I let my DD2 have mine as the new flat she's moved into her one didn't fit but mine did:(. Unfortunately her freezer isn't one that's designed to be used in an unheated outdoor cupboard!

Definitely need to replace it when we come back from holiday so that I can freeze some of leftovers as ready meals for the future!

Only another couple of days before we're off to Jamaica. Leaving Wednesday morning at about 4 o'clock - too early for me really but really worth it! Looking forward to some jerk chicken next week!

    Hi all

Apologies for not posting much, I've had a busy week, I've been reading all the posts but running out of time!

Welcome to all the new people and well done to the losers, there's been some very good results.

The shortage of turmeric in the shops this week might be because there was a discussion about the health benefits on the Jeremy Vine show. Dr Michael Mosley was on, and he said the main therapeutic property was the reduction of inflammation which can help prevent cancer, dementia, type 2 diabetes and all sorts of other health issues. The benefits are only gained by eating it with food so taking a supplement won't help. I've added it to several meals this week that I wouldn't have done before. I was going to post a link but there's lots of info to read if you're interested, type turmeric dr Mosley into Google.

Great to see losses, lantanna, Haylaluru (WOW!), TOOMUCHWORRY, TIE, wizkid, SallyCinnamon, Whiplashy (OOOOH!), summerlady and mary.
"it tasted like a Yankee candle”
Why are you tasting candles, Tete? Are Yankee better than other brands, flavourwise?

I hope you enjoyed the fish pie, Old Lurker.

Hi, Zeni and TOOMUCHWORRY! Pleased to have you join us.

Larumbelle, I miss bagels, especially toasted cinnamon & raisin ones, with lovely butter. 

TIE, do you not get free prescriptions? That’s awful that you have to make such choices.

Chin up, tweets, you will get there.

Enjoy your hols, Denise – and the sunshine. Wish it was me.

Well, found out there’s a SW group on a Saturday morning in the next town, so I joined! I bought a Bella to get the joining fee off. I planned to just go to get the books, but the girl was good so I bought a 12 week countdown (I could even remember my holidays, woo hoo), so we’ll see how it goes. I shouldn’t need to miss a class because of our footie travels very often. It was absolutely heaving; so many folk with their fresh starts to the year. BTW my word for the year is ‘success’. [COLOR="Purple"]I need to remember that success is ‘the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.’

Dinner: marinated steak (3), baked potato, cauliflower and fried leeks, Skyr ff blueberry yogurt
Snack: 3 x green & black olive crackers (4 ½ ), part hexa Laughing Cow Light triangles, tomatoes
