Don't forget TSB Plus Interest and eligible amount going down on 4 Jan 2017

I would move the excess £1500 into another account that pays any interest, and pay the FD regular saver from there, as you are not getting any interest on anything over £1500 now.
Tesco pays 3% on any balance (No DD or fee)
BOS Vantage pays up to 1.5% - 3% (tiered interest) (DDs needed)
Santander 123 1.5% (with fee)
All better then keeping in TSB, unless you have 2 accounts, (Sole & Joint paying 3% each and want ease)
Thank you, I have applied successfully to Tesco.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Try reading the OP of my thread, linked on the same page from which you made this reply (#53). You may find that I attempted to set up this DD on the middle day of December!Yorkshire_Pud wrote: »And when are you going to stop your last day of the month shenanigans for so many of your transactions then coming on here to bleat about all the problems it causes you and then BLAMING the people that try to help you in good faith!0 -

Don't you think it would have been plastered all over the boards by now if they had started to do what they only said they may do?RuleTheWorld wrote: »that doesnt really answer the question though0 -

Maybe the fact no-one has mentioned this on here answers it.....
Keep your head down would be my advice......rather than repeatedly raising the issue.0 -
Have just downgraded my classic Plus account to a classic account and then opened a new classic Plus account and I now have the 5% contactless cashback until September
How did you downgrade your accounts? On the web site I can only see upgrade. Did they confirm you will get the 5% until September on the new card.

Go into the branch - they will downgrade your existing Plus account there and then and open a new Plus account. Don't forget to take some ID and your existing debit card. the new Plus account shows up on internet banking the next (working) day. Your new Plus card and PIN arrives in post a few days later. Yes, contactless until September on the new account. Don't forget to logon and click the 'paperless' button on your new account - and transfer 1.5k to it as well!0
