Put in bin. This was supposed to live just inside the kitchen door that leads into the garden. For some reason I had put it outside ages ago and it was ruined. I bought a new one a while ago so will put that down when I've cleaned the floor.

    80) dead flowers!

Put in recycling and vase in dishwasher. Will put it away when clean, NOT on a worktop.

I'm trying to get all my batteries together. I seem to have lots of AAA but I don't know what I have them for - the remote controls take AA and I can never find any, although I've probably got some 'somewhere'!
3 stone down, 3 more to go
  • So my partner and I have got the flat :j

The landlord just wants to see proof of what money we get etc. then I'll know more after that like a move in date etc. :D

I now have 9 days off work so got a good while to really get stuck in and sort out stuff, although it's my birthday on Wednesday so I won't be doing much that day! :rotfl:

I have already sorted out all my cosmetics as much as I can. Got new, unopened ones in a storage box so I can either grab a new one when the previous one runs out or take it all to the flat as it is easily. Then I have a toiletry bag designed for travel filled with all my currently-in-use items which I can just pick up to cart between my bedroom and the bathroom each time I shower/wash face/brush teeth. This method has worked with helping me use things up in the past so I know it'll work this time :o

I have mainly all newly bought bedsheets for the flat, but I am taking 1 duvet cover and 2 brushed cotton pillowcases with me from here as they are nearly new and it's only ever me who has used them. And yes they already match my intended colour scheme :D

The only essential things I need to buy now before we properly move in is baking/cake trays, a new mattress, new pillows and duvet(and pillow and mattress protectors) and towels! :)

    82-3) gluten free bread!

I picked my sister's prescription up ages ago and she asked me to put it in my freezer. I gave her the final two loaves today, so now have a bit more space in the freezer.

    805. necklace - given to friend

    from yesterday:

    806. dead spirit level
    807. dead carpet grip
    808. dead yoga top
    809. dead socks
    810. used tin of floor paint *

*repainted bedroom floor - bought paint about 4 months ago !! I can't believe how lovely it looks & while I was moving furniture to paint floor I came upon a different configuration of furniture for my room that I hadn't tried before (which is a miracle as I'm a demon for moving furniture around).

It looks so lovely and spacious! It's a decent sized room but a funny shape so its always looked more cluttered than it should be. I also swapped frames for 2 prints I have & they look so much better. Been meaning to do that for ages..... I feel a real sense of achievement :A

What does everyone here do with odd socks and/or topless and bottomless Tupperware type containers?
3 stone down, 3 more to go
  • I use odd socks for at home days, dog walking etc. Seem to remember years ago mismatched socks was fashionable. Not in this century though
