Had a phonecall from the letting agent while I was at work today. Obviously as I'm not allowed my phone while working and it was switched off they left a message asking me to go down there tomorrow.
The last time I was down there was to hand them the required references and the bloke told me he will keep trying to get hold of the landlord(was having problems getting hold of him) and arrange for my partner and I to meet him at the property for a chat or something along those lines.
So hopefully when I go down there tomorrow it will be for them to say they've managed to get hold of the landlord and to meet him at the property at x day and time, he likes us and agrees to let the property out to us and then we can sign and pay the first months rent and deposit and move in
Will update when I know more.
Oh and I will also take those 2 blasted charity shop bags that I was supposed to take weeks ago! Will drop them off before I go into the letting agents:rotfl:

I'm new to this thread, although I've been on a similar one in the past.
I'm feeling especially down today about being surrounded by so much 'stuff' and feeling overwhelmed.
Every time I take a week off work I have plans to do a massive amount of de-junking but it doesn't usually get much further than the planning stage and I go back to work feeling worse.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Hello Noelphobic Don't try to do it all at once Take "dolly steps" Maybe just do one cupboard or drawer then when that's done try another and so on doing the whole room is daunting. I decided to tackle the Cd collection today but couldn't manage to get rid of more than 4or 5 the rest were put back some still in their original packaging . Couldn't manage the DVD collection either, so stopped for coffee, sat down on the living room floor put the TV on and pulled out the bottom shelf of the bookcase then the one above got 10 books to go to a CS just as soon as I can mange it, that's all.0

The idea was to do a room a day, but I should have known I was setting myself up for failure.
I started with the bathroom but still haven't got any further. I emptied it out completely and gave it a good(isn't) clean. The only items that have gone back in there so far have been the ones I needed when I needed them.
So far I have put back the toilet roll holder (free-standing), wet wipes, all purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, mould and mildew remover (it didn't), toothbrush and toothpaste, facial wash, moisturiser, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, comb, hair brush, deodorant, hand wash.
This makes me think that these are all the bathroom products I need but I still have 2 boxes of items that I took from there, plus other items in the box room!
I used to buy a LOT of toiletries but am pretty much cured of that now, but still have a massive stockpile!
I also have some sanitary towels and tampons that I no longer have any use for (unused of course!) but it seems wrong to bin them and I don't have anyone to give them to (at least, not without embarrassment!)3 stone down, 3 more to go0
