Thank you sallymander.Yes,sometimes I think I want to see great swathes gone every single day,but it doesn't work like that, does it?I am actually quite pleased with how the house looks att the momet. And it is staying clutter-free for longer because partner is,I woudn't say working very hard at decluttering, but he is supporting me when I ask the kids to tidy their mess,or bring plates from ,say, front room,to kitchen. So areas are staying nicer for longer. And with that,is is only about a 2 minute job to get the vacuum cleaner out,and vacuum a room,so it looks pristine for a few days longer.
Out of the house today,to charity shop:
    900-918: 19 books,including 11 by Jacqueline Wilson

I got sooooooooo much out of the house today.I am so proud of my 2 younger daughter (10 and 8yo)-they have done really well helping me get their room blitzed a few weeks ago,and 10yo keeps going through stuff, and getting rid of even more :j.
930-981:52 books .Bless her,10yo had been preparing them to sell at a fair at school (to raise money for school). She did ask me what she thought I should do with books that didn't end up selling. She bought labels to price them up with and everything, then the teacher told her that she didn't think books were agood idea to sell at a festival-themed school fair 017.gif.So they have all gone to charity.
    982: a blouse
    983-985:3 pr leggings
    986-987:2 jumpers
    988-989:2 dresses
    990-1000 items :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:11 t-shirts
    1001:a keyring
    1002:pocket mirror
    1003: bracelet
    1004:hair bobble
    1005:another bracelet
    1006:necklace
    1007:a ring
    1008:duck-shaped bar of soap
    1009:a ruler
    1010:page of stickers
1011-1044:34 pairs of socks :eek: (it's amazing what you can find to donate when you finally gather up all the odd socks into pairs :rotfl::rotfl:)
    1045: a scarf
    1046-1050:5 soft toys/pillows
    1051:emoji hanging bag decoration
    1052:troll doll
    1053:notebook
    1054-1055:2 pairs of pyjamas

Think that is the longest list of items I have ever got out of the house in a day :j.Feels so good.Very proud of my girls .

Today I have been having a bit of a sort out in my bedroom.Apart from the three bicycles and a scooter in there (),there is a bit of a hodge-podge under the bed,as well as bags of toys/books to be sorted for donation.
So I have sorted through two blue IKEA bags of toys. One was toys with bits missing.I know I should just chuck them all away, but you can be sure as soon as I do that, the missing pieces will turn up.I have the space, and it is all contained,so I would rather wait for missing pieces to turn up,then I can donate the toys.
    Out of the house today:

1056-1057:paper shopping bags (Fat Face,Lush),which I have kept for the last 3 months because they are "too good" to throw out.Pfft.I think also, particularly the FF one, because it was the first time I have ever shopped there (to buy a dress/shoes for a wedding.Only about the second time in 15 years my kids had ever seen me in a dress :rotfl:),it is a bit of a souvenir of a special shop for me.A silly reason to clutter up the house, really.

    Binned:
    1057:headband

I have also set aside a bag of stuff to donate. As usual,I will resist the temptation to list it now (I reallllllly want to add to the list today),but list it when it is actually out of my life!

  • We are finally having our bathroom re done :j :j :j

And my boyfriend and I are also waiting on a piece of good news each(well, I hope it will be good news and not bad!)

Not much decluttering going on but I have bought things - naughty! I've started buying things for our own place :o

That way, if I just buy bits and pieces as and when, when the time comes to move, we won't have to go to every shop in town to buy everything we need all in the space of a few hours :rotfl:

It will be expensive enough lumping out the deposit and first months rent!

We are only buying the basic things, not every single thing we THINK we MAY need. I've bought a basic dinner set(4 large plates, 4 small plates, 4 bowls) as we're gonna need something to eat off. I've bought a basic cutlery set(4 of each) because we need tools to pick up said food to eat! I also bought a decent plastic/nylon utensil set and a decent knife block(this one has 5 steak knives in). I think I just need a couple sauce/frying pans and baking trays then that'll start us off in the kitchen, after buying an oven etc :o

I have spent last night and this afternoon decluttering the drawers in the Welsh dresser in the entrance hall. Then I did the surface of it-another clear surface in this house produced today :j.

    Binned:
    1125-1126:2 hairbrushes

    1133:eraser
1134:bag of shellsthe kids must have collected from the beach years ago
    1135:dirty comb
1136-1137:badges 2 of the kids had made with their names on
    1138:a conker
    1139:a rubber ball
1140:a clay model. It was going to be 2 clay models, but I pulled one back out of the bin :o

    Recycled:
1141:old mobile phone instructions (not even sure what happened to the phone itself :o
1142:a couple of receipts, including one for a Monopoly game in January 2008

Have also set aside stuff to donate, which I will list when it leaves the house.

Edit: found another list of a couple of things I binned last night, from a box of random tat that sits on Welsh dressser:
    1143:a few more papers
1144:very rusty key.Absolutely no idea where it is from, or what it is for
    1145:Tesco sim card and packaging
1146: another pair of cheap sunglasses.A bit scratched, and nobody knew who they belonged to
