Just added a couple more items to the charity shop bags, put some forgotten recycling in the recycling bags, some rubbish in the bin and collected from the kitchen to add to my growing pile of items for a new house - the pack of 4 cups as previously mentioned, a costa coffee cup which I bought and also a small starbucks espresso cup I bought ages ago0
-
Also just commandeered a brand new apron and oven mitt that mum said she will never use.
Added to my "new house" pile0 -

Going to try and take the 2 charity shop bags to the charity shop this morning before getting the bus to work.
If I can't do it myself(they're heavy and I'm banking on getting a lift) then I'll see if someone can do it for me later in the day0 -
I spent Sunday having a great big sort out of my front room, and sorting out more stuff to go to charity. The stuff to charity I will list when it leaves the house (hopefully sometime Tuesday).
But on Sunday I binned:
827:broken bracelet the kids must have got from somewhere
828:magnet.I did look around for somewhere to keep a magnet, but now that all the appliances in the kitchen are built-in,there are no magnetic surfaces to put them on!
829:calculator that didn't seem to work, and I couldn't even see a cover to remove to try and replace batteries
Today,out of the house went:
830-833:4 packets of boy's school shirts, never opened.Gave them to a friend. Not sure why I have them, though I do vaguely remember having bought my son some school shirts a few years ago,and then never being able to find them again :rotfl:
834:a bag of underpants donated to school's nurserySPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

I think I am going to have to make a list of things from this house from rooms other than my bedroom and from my boyfriends parents place that are mine/his/ours that we will take with us when we move out.
Never got round to taking the charity shop bags yesterday, and I won't be able to get a lift to do it today either
Mum's saying how we need to continue tidying up/sorting out so I might just hold on to them for a few more days just incase there is more to go
Off to make this list now. Just a rough one of thing's that I can think of off the top of my head right now0 -
For the last few days I have been decluttering papers.I am not sure how you count papers-I won't count every single piece individually.Might do it by how many different "piles" I sort through.SO tonight,I sorted through:
835:one box of papers,some going back to 2010 :eek::eek:
836-837:2 "trays" of papers. It looks like previously I have started to sort through these papers, and then left them on 2 "stable tables".I finally got around to sorting those papers out.
I am gathering items (mostly clothing ) to donate to charity tomorrow.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Some of you here are saying how you need to sort through stacks of papers...
My papers I have are all kept excellently. I don't have any excess or anything that's very old/out of date. But then I don't run my own house or have very many 'adult' things to deal with yet.
My dad on the other hand - 2 large filing cabinets loaded with papers, and massive piles on top. Obviously(I would hope) he will sort through it all when we move.
Maybe once I get my own place I'll be back here saying "I know how you all feel!" :rotfl:0 -
Well tomorrow is D-day...
D-day being that my granddads will is finally being read out...
It's been a very, very long time coming. He passed away on the 8th December last year. We didn't have the funeral until the 19th January...
The will has only just come back from probate in the last couple weeks, and tomorrow is the first day that both of the executors to the will are available for appointment.
Also our landlady has finally come over to start sorting out problems with the house. She is finally re doing our bathroom for us and putting in an accessible shower for my dad, but depending on the results of tomorrow that will be basically pointless now...
The quest to declutter is ongoing, but getting there slowly0
