I am actually wearing (almost) a full face of makeup today

I kept saying I'll start wearing makeup and I got up this morning, showered, washed my face then when I got back to my room I thought "no time like the present" :rotfl:

May as well start now as most if not all of it is opened so it's just going to go off otherwise and that's not very MSE now is it? :rotfl:

I think the next task will be the HG facial cleanser and the Avon face wash, and also the Avon foot cream.

All of my moisturisers and shower gels will be LHJ's

The 2 big charity shop bags I have from my room are still here. Will get rid of them hopefully by the end of the week.

I bought a new laptop on finance last week so the old one is going on Saturday. I'm selling it so I'll make back a bit of extra cash

Oh and that pesky bottle of perfume is slowly but steadily going down!

As well as the laptop I'm selling tomorrow, I've earmarked a couple other items to take with me to sell - an external hard drive(too small a capacity for what any of us need it for) and an old mobile phone(selling due to upgrade)

Hello all,


I've been a LOOOOONG time lurker on this site. I had a diary a while back too which I'm considering re-starting but for now it's beginning with a mahoosive declutter. I'm tired of it all just BEING THERE and feeling like no matter how much I tidy up there's just tons of it all over the place.


What I'm planning will extend to more than just "tidying the house" and "getting rid of things we don't need", it will also encompass using up the things we have before buying any more. We have LOADS of bottles of bath stuff and shampoo, my freezer is full to bursting and my cupboards have tins and things I keep looking at and then deciding on something else. THEN I go and do a big shop, spending money I don't need to on things I can do without! NO MORE!!


My plan when I get home tonight is to do a freezer and cupboard inventory and then a meal plan for the next couple of weeks as I'm due to go shopping tomorrow. Hopefully I will then only buy fresh stuff, milk, bread, things like that and not a load more stuff to fill the already bursting cupboards.


I've also bookmarked a few decluttering sites to have a read through as it all appears a bit daunting and very "where do I start?" when I look around the house.


Don't get me wrong, I'm tidy and I'm clean but there's just so much.... STUFF that I know, with a bit of thought, I could clear.


We're seeing a mortgage advisor in a couple of weeks with a view to moving and I'm determined we're not taking a ton of things we don't use or need to the next house!
