2017 - No Clutter To Be Seen

Aww,how exciting Gemma.:jYes,4 years is long enough.I'll bet your parents are going to miss you, though.
I love the idea of only having one plate, knife, fork, cup, etc each.I definitely need to cull the coffee cups and glasses in this house. Why,I ask you,do children's easter eggs come with coffee cups ?
I have been stopping and starting the decluttering of this house for about 3-4 years. With 4 kids and a hoarding partner,I have to keep ontop of it.But this year, having had a house extension last year,I really am going for it.I am going through cupboards and the loft that haven't been sorted for years .
My dishwasher is on twice most days (family of 6).I wonder what would happen if I culled, especially cups and glasses. And I have been letting go of guilt-the amount of items I held onto because it had been given to me and I felt bad letting it go ....Now I am past that, and it is alot easier to let things go.
Out of the house today:
To small local charity shop:
a huge bundle of clothes, all never worn, most still with labels on:
2629-2631: 3 jumpers
2632-2633: 2 long-sleeved tops
2634-2635:2 t-shirts
2636:pair of leggings
2637:tracksuit pants
also:
2638:Lazy Town dress up outfit (Stephanie)
2639:Lazy Town dress up outfit (Sportacus)
2640:raincoat
2641:gift bag
2642:Beatrix Potter Complete Tales box set
2643:Dr Suess classics box set
2644:Magic Faraway Tree box set
2645:box of Christmas cards
2646:Angelina Ballerina brush
2647:Home character (McDonald's toy)
2648:princess necklace
2649:hand puppet
2650-2659:10 stuffed toys
2660:water-toy
2661:Hide and Seek Scooby game
2662:trump cards game
2663:pplastic ruler
2664:small mirror
2665:basket of shells
Given to a friend:
2666:blue top
2667:floaty,sheer blue shirt
2668:green t-shirt
I also gave her a dress, but not counting that as it was in a bag of stuff given to me a few weeks ago,to sort out and keep what I want, then donate the rest. Not really mine,it was just "passing through" my life.
In the same way, won't count 2 items of mine that I set aside for my 15yo daughter to see if she wanted. She did,so nothing decluttered, but being used after 4 years being scrunched up in a wardrobe :rotfl:
Last week when I was donating to this newly-discovered charity shop,I saw a sign in a shop window asking for plastic bags.Bet they are sorry they asked now,I took in 4 huuuuuge bundles of bags :rotfl:,so counting that as 2669-2672,though there was probably over 100 bags there. That has freed up a big space under the stairs :j
Then I went to the tip.Hate this bit-sooooo much going to landfill.I really do try to avoid it.
2669-2758:90 pieces of plastic, almost all from kid's games that I had given up looking for all the pieces of,so couldn't donate
2759:wooden box from kid's toy
2760:kid's soccer ball
2761:gift bag
2762:paint brush
2763-2765:3 jigsaw puzzles, donated to school after they had a shout-out for toys/puzzles for lunch clubs
So,all that was from around the house :eek:
Out of the loft,I recycled a cardboard book of Scooby-doo jigsaw puzzles,so from the loft, that is number 1166.

Well, I wouldn't say they are going to miss me much Saver-upper - we've just moved down the road! :rotfl:
Well, we have 4 of most things, but with 2 of us eating at a time there's only enough for 2 meals if you know what I mean.
There were 6 of us when I used to live with my parents. My parents, my brother and his fianc!e and me and my partner. The washing machine was always going, the tumble drier was always going, and dishes had to be done several times a day :rotfl:
Talking to my mum last week she said it's still pretty much like that  Whereas here now I wash the dishes in the evening before bed. I do laundry once a week MAYBE twice, if we've dirtied up an extra towel or something. Hoovering and sweeping only needs to be done a couple times a week. We have a washer drier but we don't use the drier part as it simply does not get stuff dry so a simple airer over the bath for the night does the trick for us
I've got 2 different ladies interested in 2 of my items I have listed for sale. The remaining item is quite specific so may have to take it into a shop that's specialises in that sort of thing.0 -

Going up to my mums today to see her for a bit
And I am going to liberate a few things from her
I need some Christmas wrapping paper, gift tags/bows, sellotape and some cards to write out for people at work
I'm going to have a nosey through her cupboards too and see if I can liberate any condiments/sauces/spreads etc0 -
I haven't been doing decluttering for a couple of weeks.More bringing stuff in for Christmas
.
This morning I did take a couple of items, that I had tried to sell first,to the charity shop:
From the loft:

From in the house, earlier this month I recycled:
2766-2768: 3 spray bottles that didn't seem to work anymore
2769:Easter chocolate making kit, found in the back of the kitchen cupboard while baking with the kids.It was 3.5 years out of date :eek:SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

I'm up to 1985 items (thanks to some fab ebay sales this month of unwanted toys and kitchenware) so am really going to push to get to 2017 in 2017 and update with my list at the month end

took two tops and a pair of trousers to a CS yesterday along with a tabletop easel and a plastic portfolio.
Dumped a broken set of bathroom scales. other than that not much decluttering done recently.
Tidied DDs bedroom for when she comes home this week. opened her cubpoard and found a CS bag full of stuff. Have a couple more bits to add and that will go on Friday when I'm off work.0 -
I am still not actively decluttering at the moment, but a few things have left the house:
Out of loft:
1170:unopenedset of Joules bath bombs.(I used them for a Secret Santa present, and am trying to ignore the fact that it was really just swapped for another gift that has made its way into the house :rotfl:)
Out of house:
2770: unopened box set of 3 kid's books (How Loud Can you Burp?,Why is Snot Green?,and Does Farting Make you Go Faster?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
2771:unopened Create a Night Sky projection kit
both given to a friend for her kids when I visited this afternoon.I did have another gift to give her as well, but it wouldn't fit in the backpack I was carrying,so kids would have seen it.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
