That's really funny, Aesop:rotfl:. And there I was thinking you were an absolute genius with anything technological or mechanical;).

3 more cheapie items sold on eBay and 2 books via Amazon:j. Will update profits after I've posted them all tomorrow morning. Need to pull out all the stops in the time that's left this month to compensate for the loss of potential income from the cancelled tabletop sales.

I wasn't sure whether to count this but it's money I was expecting to spend and then didn't - so I think it's legit!
It was my son's birthday party today and when I went to settle up, the guy said "and you've got the special offer so that's £60 off". I was thinking what special offer? But deployed the poker face and paid up.
And then we've booked a few days away at half term, self catering. I found the place on trip advisor and messaged the owner for a quote. When it came through I was about to pay when I remembered reading something about TA adding fees to an owner's price. So I found her own website and messaged her there. Lo and behold: £45 cheaper!
So I'm adding £105 to my total and may actually manage my goal this month for once!!
    £254/310
Brilliant result !! Well done there :T :T

Sorry I have been AWOL but I had a bad few days that I let drag on for over 2 weeks! I have 9 days to try and claw it back.

£290 in 9 days is not going to be easy but I am going to try my best! Everyone seems to be doing so well and reading through the posts has helped motivate me to start again tonight :)
Glad you're feeling better and back on it. Good luck for the next nine days :D

    this might cheer you up

I am dangerous with technology that does not involve tablets, phones and pcs lol.

The shredder I bought that I thought was broken? I hadn't read the instructions and was putting it on backwards.

The blender I bought years ago and never used? I didn't want to waste the bananas DH and DS hadn't eaten. have no eggs so thought will make banana milkshake. I stood here for 15 minutes deciding it was broken and had to go back to Curry's. Until I read the instructions

align the arrow with the unlock arrow otherwise the blender won't work! !!

    One banana milkshake later....
:rotfl: You sound like my DH - I keep telling him 'If all else fails then read the destructions'.

I have £3.50 to add today from regular weekly scans and a small survey. I feel like a tortoise - slowly creeping towards the target this month. Gosh, it's hard work atm but I'm not giving up. Onwards and upwards peoples - we can do it !!

Hope you all have a money-making Monday

My OH is dyslexic and an instruction manual for anything technical just sends him crazy:eek:. Some of them are so complicated with pages of symbols and small print that just seem to dance about before his eyes. Needless to say I'm the one that has to decipher all the instructions and installation info for anything we own:eek:. Once I've explained it to him verbally he's a dab hand at using things. Plus, he's great at fixing things if they don't work or go wrong. He used to service and repair his own cars for donkey's years until they started going high-tech and needing a computer expert to diagnose problems.

I feel very sorry for him, he's a very intelligent man who feels modern life is a constant battle and that he's excluded from so many new developments.

Promised tot-up of last week's eBay sales. Out of the 30 listed (all on BIN), 9 sold and last few have been posted this morning. Profit of £71.70 which makes my January total look a bit more respectable but I'm still lagging behind this month:(. Maybe some more stuff will sell before the end of the month eh? Also, 3 books sold on Amazon and posted today too but won't add until money received in my bank later in week.

Used £3.50 MOCs in Morrisons yesterday plus £2.21 divi used at Co-op.

Have a good week, everyone:beer:. I hope it isn't as cold and foggy where you are as it is here.

    Evening all

Brilliant CBC - well done on all the sales, and more to come eh

Sending some 'cheer-up vibes' Shariann and hope you soon feeling brighter. I have been taking daily vitamin D since the beginning of the year - don't know if it's psychological or actual but I do feel more 'alive' than I usually do in January. I have also started taking a cod liver oil capsule as well - just started this week so I'll see if that helps as well :D

Just managed to make £2 on surveys today - but better than nowt. The month seems to be speeding up a bit now so I must do the same :rotfl:

Hope you all have a super Tuesday and this weather picks up a bit

    £7.70 tips

We have finally got some new staff starting at work so hopefully should be back to normal hours. Got one extra shift this week on Weds and then I shall do extra only if it suits me.

I had a quiet word with the boss explaining that I feel I am perimenopausal and the extra shifts are really putting a strain on me.

Didnt really want to give this reason to refuse extra shifts but my wellbeing is no.1 priority for me. Think I finally got through as boss is mid fifties and knows how I am feeling.
Have started taking menopace to see if it helps.
Am sleeping loads better than I was and now I just need to see if gives me a bit of an energy boost.

Sorry to hear you're feeling blue, shariann. I hope you'll be back to your usual self very soon:beer:. I think once all the buzz of Christmas and New Year has gone we're just left with cold, dull days without much on the horizon to look forward to. It's enough to make even the most optimistic person a bit glum:(.

Good idea to take supplements, Lynne, I'm glad the Vit D is working for you and hope the cod liver oil soon will too:j

Had a phone call about the online focus group I'm booked in for next week and it seems they pay by Amazon voucher rather than the lovely 'real' money I was hoping for:(. I buy stuff from Amazon anyway from time to time so it will be there waiting until I need anything and I'll not have to spend my own money so it all evens itself out in the end. The trouble is, being a bookoholic, the temptation to splurge it all on books might be too much for me:o. Not very money-saving and MSE in that case:eek:
